Gotta love dem quotes from paid media :lol

Yeah, and they can actually use parts of an article if they want, for example if an article said "you would think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a top notch blockbuster with great action and humor, but it falls flat on its face as a terrible movie", then they could just snip the article and put in "top notch blockbuster"

:ohbfrank: terrible practice

Well there you have it folks. It was a bad movie but it still did well and now marvel fanboys are up in arms and nostagia peeps are up in arms. Its like the new age transformers. I just cant help but laugh. Just goes to show people will complain all the way to the movie theater. Thank goodness I still have the 1990 movie as my definitive turtle movie so I dont care what this new franchise does becuase not one movie will top the 1990 movie. Its a tmnt masterpiece and is a true gem.

Dont know why people are so suprised by the outcome of this movie. Only thing you'll get out of it is either enjoyment or hatred.

Yeah I have better things to waste my energy on. It's Monday night I'm gonna watch the 90 flick to cheer me up.

65 mil in its first weekend. not terrible, but not great either. second weekend will tell the tale.

25 mil over expectations against terrible, TERRIBLE reviews and stiff competition. I'd say that's pretty good. Sequel is on the way so the tale has been told.

Right! A sequel being planned means everything.

Just like Green lantern 2
Or Superman returns 2
Or Spider-man 4

Or any number of planned sequels that never saw the light of day after being announced :lol

not only that, but it's entirely possible it gets a Sequel/reboot like G.I. Joe did.

Too soon to tell, and this weekends box office will tell the tale more clearly.

Planned and announced are two different things no? The sequel may not actually open June 3rd, 2016, but it will come.

I've also heard there was a guaranteed trilogy clause in the rights contract. So who knows.

I'm hoping for a little retcon, but it will not be anything as drastic as G.I Joe.
