It's simple, there's a new show out that's doing well and they are gonna make a movie to make more money of the property.

And it's a reboot, maybe an origin.

Why not MAKE A NEW ORIGINAL SHOW and not based off something old and tired?

Rhetorical question. I know the answer.

There are very few new blockbusters these days.

I would like Marvel to use their catalog and bring title characters never before brought the the big screen, but that's just me.

No more Marvel. No more DC. No more 90's, 80's, cartoons.

Just do something new. Please. For ****s sake. Just making something new for kids.

Pixar is doing this....most of the time...why can't anyone else? Or if they don't want to take that risk, at least make the modern toons into something bigger.

Kids are just unoriginal bastards. They're sucking the life out of my soul with their unoriginality.

RAGHHHHHHHH

Or i just want my awesome cartoons in theaters.

The Ninja Turtles suck. Never understood the appeal. Pretty retarded concept if you ask me.

Stupid 90s kids.

I second that. Ninja Turtles are lame.

...but the 90's were cool

not sure if you were being sarcastic but the turtles were a little darker originally,
In the very first issue of the comic series, Splinter reveals why he's been training the turtles for 13 years: to kill Shredder. Not "bring him to justice" or "stop the evil foot clan," but specifically to murder this one man for Splinter's personal revenge. They were single-purposed hit-turtles, trained by their insane master for over a decade just to take one life. The comic doesn't show much of that lovable father-son relationship that the turtles have with Splinter in the cartoon, either. They are not a loving family obliging their master's wishes out of affection and duty; they're just Splinter's pre-programmed death machines.

I don't disagree, Kids TV is mostly full of singers and dancers, all about wanting to be famous.

Kim Possible was the last good original cartoon imo

How can you disagree when you're not even watching what's on TV? (rhyme!)

What about Ben 10 and Danny Phantom? Dunno if those are still on, but I thought they were very original and fun.

I do agree though. Most kid shows blow today.

Ben 10 is. Danny Phantom got canned years ago. Not sure why

I've always liked my shows to have a dark edge. The darker the jokes, the funnier I laugh. Tis why Rocko, Ren and Stimpy, and Zim were my shat.

But I did like Hey Arnold and Doug too. They were nice and sweet. And actually told good stories that have stuck with me today, in one way or another.

Used to watch Doug when I was little but never liked Hey Arnold. Always hearing good things about Invader Zim but haven't checked it out yet.

The cartoons I seemed to enjoy most as a kid were Dexter, Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd and Eddy, CatDog and Samurai Jack.

There was one about two beavers that I enjoyed. Can't remember it's name.

Ah, memories...
