I think Skeleton Crew will be a lot more fun than The Acolyte, and may have some interesting 'world building' from an angle we haven't seen much of.

Though the blue elephant kid is so cartoon-like he's threatening to be 'world destroying'. Don't know whether he's meant to be Ortolan like Rebo as they're not exactly alike - Rebo has all black eyes, and the ends of his fingers look like suckers.

Honestly... it looks fun.

Like Star Wars for younger kids, but in a way that's well done. Better this than the cheesy speeder chase from BoBF.

Still not sure what to think of this show. It certainly has that Spielbergian vibe they are going for. Very much in line with Goonies and ET. The Star Wars universe is meant to be massive so why wouldn’t there be a place with suburbs? Certainly kids get into space travel trouble with as common as ships are? I mean it all makes sense from a certain point of view, but it’s such a departure from anything we’ve seen this far. All that said, this does look like it could be fun. Not the life or death, saving the universe stakes most Star Wars has but certainly in those 80’s kids movies way of getting grounded is more scary than getting killed by something
