The mo-cap turtle in the back actually looks like a turtle.

What I meant by that statement is they did a lot of weird, crazy **** in the comics, so it wouldn't be too far off if they did weird, crazy **** in the movies.

That was much later though, with Kraang (?) and then the dimensional portal stuff. In the beginning it was ninjas and Mouser robots; relatively "realistic" (for lack of a better word ).
