They need to stop the whole "from space" idea.

The Transformers were from space.

Duke and Ripcord's hideous outfits in the G.I. Joe movie were obviously designed by someone from space.

....wait the whole movie was basically done from space as they had NO CLUE.

Critters are from space

Space Invaderz are from space

And now Battleship is from space!

So what's so wrong about having some Turtles from the sewer? You want to be friendly to all the power companies and their misplaced radioactive goo? Just have the turtles from China!

Oh and Thor? Look at him too, Asgard is obviously FROM SPACE. Watch the movie!

LMAO. I know. I agree.

Space is just a cop out because kids don't have any imagination any more.

They always question. I'm suprised Spider-Man isn't bit by a space Spider.

I will watch it. intersted to see what he does with the turtles.
as long as there incredible fight scenes I am there.

knowing Michael bay, his turtles will be "modern ninjas" who use laser-machine-guns, and all combat is ONLY done from the back of a vehicle, leaving us all feeling EXTREMELY reminiscent of the freeway scene in The Matrix II.

Bay is already backing off the alien idea and is saying they are just going to be regular turtles with really high midi-chlorian counts.

is this movie animated ?

nope, Live action.

and Laird further clarifies he's not working on the film ( so it seems they're working with Eastman?) as well as says the following about the premisce of the film.

Did you really get out of what I wrote that I in any way, shape or form LIKE the idea of a planet of Turtles? If so, I guess I have to re-think how I express myself.

Just so it's absolutely clear -- I think a planet of turtles is not, in and of itself, a bad idea for some kind of science fiction/fantasy story. But as a way to explain any aspect of the backstory of TMNT, I think it is awful and unnecessary.

Of course, we have no idea at this point if the plan is to have a planet of Turtles. It's probably a good idea to wait and see. -- PL

Well, yeah. Independent films.

And it's not that they don't believe in original ideas. Bay's even making a low budet flick based off a crime that happened in Florida. If that counts. Not based off any franchise, no action, character film...ect....

How exactly is 20 million low budget?... :dunno

:lol

he's going to ____ all over them. that's what bay will do :slap

Are you ____ing kidding me? 20 million is chump change. A big budget movie is 100 million and up. Anything below that is pretty small for a Hollywood movie.

Any big movie you see this year, Avengers, Prometheus, Dark Knight, ect...will be over 100 million.

Movies like Piranha, Machete, will be low budget probably 60 million and under.

No ____... really?...
:rolleyes2

I consider 20 mil a modest budget... low is like 5 mil and under...
BTW... Bad Boys was made for 19 million, and I'm pretty sure nobody considers it a low budget movie... ;)

Everyone does. 5 Million is really low, almost independent, or Sci-Fi movie of the week stuff.

Hollywood movies don't go that low. Well, some do, but 95% of the time, if there is a semi big actor, director, or producer, you'll never see a budget like that.

I think the last movie I can remember having a budget under 10 million, was Super.

But movies like Gamer, Ghost Rider 2, Crank, SLiTHER, Machete, Punisher 2, Predators...ect...all have 60 and below. It's a pretty small budget for a Hollywood film/

I didn't. I said everyone does. :lol

Back then, no. It was a decently sized budget film.

But now, things have gotten so expensive. If you're making a tentpole, blockbuster film, it's 100 million and up. If you're not...it's low budget safe stuff.

Why do you think Predators got away with the R Rating? 40 million dollar budget. Made back it's money. Didn't make twice it though. But it did alright enough.

See, you're thinking in and around the Hollywood system. I'm talking about INSIDE the system. 20 million is nothing. They'll give you 20 million easily if your movie can easily make back the money.
