Also, it's still pretty hard to do a totally original movie. I mean, even Chronicle, which I thought was pretty great, got a ton of flak for "ripping off" Akira. So people just can't even enjoy the fact that there is an original film out there. People are fickle bastards.

Look i LOVE the original movie. I watched the _____ out of it when it came out and i still love it today, its dark, its gritty, its got alot of heart, its great, and i even like the 2nd one, its a little more kid friendly but still enjoyable, 3rd ones a flop and w.e. came after that.

im conflicted about what Bay is saying, i understand he needs to reinvent the franchise and expand the world but you gotta stay true to the mythology. Hopefully with Bay comes a husky budget and some epic action scenes but they need to get a good director who has a good vision for a story and characters.

It needs to be an ensemble piece like the original, they had a great cast of characters, or atleast the voices LOL. I dont want goofy turtles like those idiot bots he had in the transformers thats all.

Well, the studios "don" care about your feelings. They only care if KIDS GO AND SEE THEM. Adults aren't in their demographic. Period.

Thier origin story won't bother the little kids, and young teenagers watching the film. I can promise you that.

Anyway, to get back to the "TMNT are aliens" thing -- the reason I say it could be a "genius" idea is that -- for the first time -- someone has come up with a way to have as many freakin' Turtles as they want. I mean, if the TMNT are actually members of an alien race, there could be a whole PLANET of them!

This gave me a weird vibe, that the four turtles would be the first of their race and then we get "Picasso" and "Rembrandt" following in the sequel....

This idea has the potential to throw out everything that came before it and just move on....

Once we get the writer (or see the writer's name) and director on board, then you can _____. It's not a great idea. But ____...neither was re-whatevering 21 Jumpstreet. And I am forever glad they did. Best movie of 2012 so far.

And ____ can change SO much from now until then. I still have a gut feeling that Bay might just say ____ it, here guys, and make them mutants again.
