I agree with Dusty.DUSTY SAYS JUSTIN IS BIGGER....
i agree with dusty.
and i bet it's true...
My wife and I were talking about this today. I told her about the article posted earlier in this thread, about Michael and the video store.
In the past few years, all you saw of Michael in the media was the bad stuff, or the freaky stuff. You had to actively search out the "old" Michael, and I never did aside from listening to his music on my iPod. Now that he is gone, you see pictures and video of the 80's Michael everywhere. And that is what makes me feel bad, because I am remembering how much I liked him. I lost the memories of what was great about him until he died. It's a shame all that was buried by the bad stuff of recent years.
Yeah the true magic of MJ has been dead for many years now.(and true magic it was) The man was a god when he first hit the scene solo. I kinda feel sorry for those born mid 80's or so that didn't get to enjoy him at the time when he was on top! It was truly special- and unforgettable.
Not to be a party-pooper, but can we keep this thread on track?...
Thanks!!
im an 80s kid he was a musical god
:maul
I don't think he was a musical god, how could you say that when talking about pop music? Any way he had some talent, just not my style!
I was 15 when Thriller came out. Could've cared less.I was 80s kid too! I was also into some weird music ( Depeche Mode, Poesie Noire, Camouflage, Anything Box) just to name a few. But I was never really into anything as weird as MJ's music, maybe a little when I was five or six or something. Never owned any of his music either.
I use to remember hearing some kids talking about seeing him in concert when I was in the 4th grade (which had to be around 1988 or something) Some of the other kids over heard and started saying "ahh man you like Michale Jackson, he's weird!" or "that music suck's!" And I guess I kinda identified with those belief's, at the time. I still think his style was bizarre. But I do like a few of his songs now, Beat it, Billy Jean, and one other that I can't think of right now, it'll come to me later.

I was listening to Black Flag, Fear and Discharge.
So... like you, I can see the talent and I also like a few of his songs but just SO not my thing.

Sad news. Was a huge fan of his as a kid....then in my later years, not so much. Things unfortunately got very weird for him...and whether all the allegations were true or not, we will never know. Still is shocking that he died so suddenly. I just picked up his number one hits not too long ago....Dirty Diana was always one of my favorites of his.
I hope that someone responsible and loving steps in and takes care of his children. Those kids are who I am most concerned about. hopefully now they can lead a somewhat normal life.
