Slap the Jacksons. I know they're in mourning, but they could foot the bill for this. :monkey1

You may be right. It's just that the media likes to report every little tid-bit they can get their hands on.

Exactly... because that's what sells... let the dust settle...

It's ironic how all the media, now realizes how great this man was...
They went after him like wolves for years...
^^^^ers...

They made money pissing on him and now they'll make money putting him up on a pedestal. :duh

Fox is reporting tons of empty seats for this memorial.

I think the venue is bigger than the amount of people that are there. Also, there were people winning tickets out of the country, including someone in Iran. They weren't going to go to begin with. I also think some bought tickets to resell and couldn't.

Why are they applauding during this? I was always told you never applaude at funerals.

I wish I could watch this, but streaming video is blocked at work, even on news sites. :monkey2

Tyr this:

Google.com/translate
and enter the URL on the space...
Then click translate...

Or, type www.tinyurl.com, enter the URL of the newsite, and click Make,
then copy that url into your browser...

See if it works...

I tried, but it doesn't look like the video link on CNN's site is a URL, but more like javascript code to open a window. :monkey2

Not really. Celebrity/"Hero" worship has been around forever.

Oh I know this, but taking pictures at a funeral used to be a no no. I know this is a public funeral, but people were asked not to bring cameras but you can see the flashes going off. Just seems rude to me.

My SIL took a pic of my father in his casket at the visitation because her son who couldn't come wanted it. I can't tell you how pissed I was!

Thank goodness I've got cable so I don't have to watch this. Although adverts come up occasionally which is frustrating so I'm gonna put a film on.
x :peace

Something tells me that the $ spent will get repaid. I see a benefit concert or something to pay the bill.

Come on... the dude is in a GOLDEN casket. Everything about this is garish.

I predict he doesn't get buried for weeks or longer like Abe Lincoln. They'll fly his ass to Japan and Russia and all over to have memorial services there.
