Thanks Mods for re-opening this thread!
Let's hope this time trolls stay under the bridge...

Anyway... seems like the funeral will be private, great thing IMO, and the memorial will be indeed chaotic now that some of the guests have been revealed...

Kobe Bryant, Mariah Carey, Andrae Crouch Choir, Berry Gordy, Jennifer Hudson, Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, Bernice A. King, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Brooke Shields, Usher and Stevie Wonder.

even before that list was put out there, you just knew it would be a big mess over there. Kinda interested in seeing all the traffic and crowds there (on tv of course).

Mark my words:

"This memorial thing is going to be a 3 ring circus!" :lol

They showed some lady flipping out on CNN because she was so happy to get a ticket to get in. She didn't seem sad at all. Kinda weird IMO. :duh

I'll be glad when it's all over. If I see Rev. Al one more time shooting his mouth off, I'm gonna hurl.

Anyway, I think I'll look for a new TV tomorrow while all this is happening.

Yeah, between that and the scalpers on Ebay and Craigslist... people can be really pathetic sometimes...

Supposedly eBay and Craiglist will pull any listings for those tickets. I haven't checked though.

I thought I hated Jesse Jackson back in the day. Hell he is a saint next to Al. I absolutely loathe Al. I could deal without him. I don't wish anyone death. I just want him to go into hiding like Osama. Find a nice comfy mountain to sit in and go the ^^^^ away. :lol

If you think about it, they should do the same thing for SDCC.

Well, not really. I mean, all tickets can be sold on eBay. I've sold some of my baseball tickets online (at a loss), because I couldn't go.

In a way, if you own something, you should be able to sell it, no matter what it is. I think these were pulled because of it being for a funeral though I have to wonder if it were for anyone else if they'd do the same thing.

Funny that hookers can sell themselves on Craiglist though, no problem! :lol

Thanks for the better link Batty... some sweet stuff in that room.

It's an interesting collection of bits and pieces (you can see Edward Scissorhands' gloves in one case). And it's funny to see the old Vader and Jabba maquettes from the 90s.

I wonder what all the books in the cases are. One of them looks like The Beatles Anthology hardcover.

I want those Scissorhands.

This makes me want to punch and slap many, many people...

Michael Jackson's memorial service today will apparently cost Los Angeles taxpayers $3.5 million+ in a time when the state of California is essentially broke and city employees are getting pink slips because the city dollars are not there. Local law enforcement will be providing security for attendees which include private guests of the Jacksons.
