Nah, I'm pretty sure that they'd be military, since Heroes is dedicated to more of the core characters.

Now it is possible that the Endor Rebels might not be the first figures in the Military line, but we don't have pictures or even hints of anyone else yet.

"Yet there were some who fought back. Initially an underground movement of loose affiliation, the Rebel Alliance grew to become the Empire's chief adversary during the Galactic Civil War. A diverse force of many races and persuasions, the Rebel military was organized and flexible, able to penetrate, strike targets and then melt away at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser. In contrast to the Empire's vast legions of identical soldiers, the Rebellion fielded small units of specialized and varied troops, using guerrilla tactics and unconventional methods to gradually chip away the impenetrable walls of power that protected the tyrannical Emperor."

I'm guessing these are part of the military line.

Imagine what the response would have been if we didn't already know that the Endor rebels were kicking off the line. People would be salivating over clones for a week.

So true, you think there are people disappointed, bummed, pissed etc over Endor Rebels now? :horror

I was born after the OT films were made, but I definitely prefer the OT military over any PT military. The OT armor is just more visually appealing to me. It probably has partly to do with the annoyingly fake CGI done in the PT. At least actual models and costumes were made for all the characters in the OT.

I have to agree that the OT troops looked a lot better for being real people in costumes. All the shots of the massed ranks of CGI Clones were like videogame cutscenes and that added with all the other needless CGI made much of the PT more like an animated movie than live action. The other thing about the Clones in ROTS that I didn't like were the seemingly endless variants that were the most blatant marketing ploy ever, only being created so Hasbro (and probably Sideshow too in the months to come) could save money on new molds by releasing every single movie Clone plus a few more besides instead of making all new characters. The Military line won't be the one I buy many figures from but I'll definitely be in for at least 1 of each of these Imperial troops,
1.Stormtrooper
2.Sandtrooper
3.Snowtrooper
4.Biker Scout

Obi - "Only Storm Troopers are so accurate."

Unless they're shooting at people of course :lol

Keep in mind that SS has *always* kicked off a line with a character highlighted on the line's announcement page. They may break precedent here with the Endor soldiers but we don't truly know for sure yet. We just may see a Clone, X-Wing pilot, or Stormtrooper as the lead off figure.

Don't forget, the MILITARIES page also showcases Chancellor Palpatine and Rebel Fleet Troopers... either of which would be a better choice to kick off the line.

Especially Palpatine.

Yes, they might have been better choices to start the line but if the Endor Rebels would have come at any point and in the form we're getting them. Would you or anyone else passing still pass? If so then why does it really matter? The fact is that it doesn't.

I wouldn't have thought of putting Chancellor Palpatine in the military line. I always assumed Sith. Interesting idea.

Well, technically, as Chancellor Palpatine he is actually the Commander-in-Chief of the Grand Army of The Republic, so it makes perfect sense.

Military assembly line eh?

Well the only large quantitiy in figures that I want would be the stormtroopers, rebel fleet troopers, and some tuskins, all ep. IV

Sorry but that's it baby! :chew :emperor

I stand corrected sir. That what happens when you read announcements at 4 in the morning blurry-eyed at work over your computer counsel... :)

I'm still hoping it's a different character that kicks off this banner....something a little more iconic to the saga...
