A proposal to Sideshow, if I may. For the Clones from Ep2 and Ep3, sell us the basic ones with the option of buying an expansion armor pack so we can build an army of different colors, same colors, or just rotate them out from time to time.

Having one or even several of each clone from Ep3 would be sooo crazy and I don't think most of us can afford even one of everything.

I would much rather for Sideshow to release each type of clone individually than for them to be released as accessories. That way you can display every type of clone.

I bet all those people that voted for Padme and Jade regret that now knowing a Royal Guard could have been on they way by now. It was those people wanting a main character as a "EU" charcter. That poll still makes me mad. Padme should have never even been on it! :monkey4

I was to late to be in the poll. Whats funny I thought the same thing about Padme when I heard about it but the more I think about it get over it.

Don't forget, the MILITARIES page also showcases Chancellor Palpatine and Rebel Fleet Troopers... either of which would be a better choice to kick off the line.

Especially Palpatine.

People whould STILL be complaining that it's not a Clone or Stormtrooper just as much as they are now.

Don't even get me started on that poll. I missed voting in on it too but I can't tell you how much I'd love an Asajj or a Mara.

Well I actually am glad, after thinking, the first ones aren't Stormtroopers. Because SS needs to upgrade their bodies before they make Stormtroopers, and Vader and Fett. If I can't do some better elbow bending for poses they'd be useless.

I actually voted for "Mara Jade" but "Padme" would have been my second choice.

I really like the picture of the current sculpt and can't wait to see her finished much less get her!

I voted for Asajj, but alas... And Buttmunch is right, Padme should have never even been on that poll! Does anybody remember why SSC added her to the poll? Of course I'll buy her, I'm a completist... for now!

My guess is that they threw her in for the people that don't know what the EU was. Padme would have been at least a reconginzable character. Very stupid of them looking back at it. I would much rather have had Kir Kanos. I think most would now too.

I'm not really into EU apart from the CW cartoon and I'm still a little concerned about Padme winning the poll because it might prolong the wait for a real movie version of the character.

SSC basically considered her an EU character based purely on the outfit that
she wore in CW cartoon series, which is within the EU, however since it bears a very close resemblance to the outfit she wore at the end of AOTC I saw no
reason why SSC would even make her a consideration especially since she is
a major PT character. Padme should have never been on the poll to begin with because it pretty much negates the point of it being a EU poll Not to mention we would have eventually gotten a Padme figure, instead the
fandom basically blew a great opportunity to get an actual EU character early on in the line. Whats even more strange is the fact that she was in last
place on the polls then she makes a dramatic leap and ends up winning the poll.

I'm hoping that SS and SWI learned their lesson last time and are sharing in the anouncement...

Maybe, Insider debuts the Endor Troopers and the SS newsletter introduces the Scout Trooper. Yeah thats it, think about it, we thought earlier that the scout would be the easiest trooper because they wear the least armor.
And it would make sence to introduce a figure for each faction each time you expanded the Military line. Storm Trooper/Rebel Trooper, Hoth Soldier/Snow Trooper.

Well, it will be fun to see what ends up hapening once anythings official. I for one think the Endor Trooper is a strange choice as a kick off figure by itself but if I guessed right and were getting a Rebel/Empire combo then I'm IN!

Some idiot on RS already admitted to spamming the poll. I'd like to think any future such polls were conducted within the user account rather than in open forum where the winner goes to whichever munchkin can be bothered logging in from different PC's on their school network or whatsuch. Maybe one vote per Star Wars product previously purchased or something to keep some integrity in the process. I think most people here will buy the Padme but it was far from first choice. I think it was last on my list of the choices on offer.

I recall reading at the time that Lucasfilm asked for that Padme to be included in the poll. As for her winning, well, I voted for her so I don't mind too much, but I've seen a few people on various boards admit to getting friends/coworkers/family etc to vote her in towards the end. I believe she didn't win by that many votes, either, like under 50? So the unsportsmanlike shenanigans probably put her over the top.

Yeah, but I'm sure there were idiots spamming for other characters... just like real elections each persons underhanded dealings probably cancel out the others. That's what makes democracy work :rotfl

I voted for Mara Jade but I think any of the others would have also been a better choice than Padme, especially as it was an Expanded Universe poll. I'd sooner buy a figure of Jaxxon (the big green rabbit from the old Marvel comics) than Padme.
