Wofford, you're the most passionate about this figure, which outfit in your opinion is the definitive look that makes this an instabuy for you?

Well definitive for me is the most plain, which of course I'd take, but wouldn't be my first option of looks, and that is the Church confession scene.

I personally like his prospecting(surveying) look the most, followed by his quail hunt, followed by the old man, followed by the rest.

I'll tell you this though if I finally get a Plainview after all these years and someone rubs oil all over it before we get a regular version I'll come into your house, wherever you're sleeping, and cut your throat.

:lol:lol:rotfl

Quail hunt with gun and accessories would be my choice and I can honestly say I had no input in the matter. This is what rainman is thinking.

Also like the thought of DX set coming with hatless sculpt for an alternate look.

If he's going the quail hunt route, then here's your get up....

I hopefully make this version.
Many oil on his face.IT will be new style faceup.

I will think about main expression.
Thank you for many interesting.

Wait....I thought Rainman was going to do the Oil Slick Plainview?
Now it's Quail Hunt? C'mon Rainman, Daniel Plainview is an Oil Man not a hunter!

At first glance one might think its just a guy in a suit, but really the character of this guy supersedes it because it is so strong. I was talking my girlfriend about my figures the other day. She likes them but feels I have to many. But the point is there is something about Bill and Doc that just stand out more then say the likes of Iron Man and Batman. We agreed that there is just something special about the look of them. They look real. One could easily dismiss Doc as a cowboy and move on but you don't. The character shines through so much that it makes you stop to look and just keep looking. I think the same thing will happen if Plainview is made. Could be dismissed as a guy in an old time suit but the character so rich that it will be a dominate presence.

How did this come about? All of the sudden, after Pee Wee this gets done? Some here were saying they wouldnt get another Rainman figure this year based on the projected line-up, then Plainview pops up as an interest/gauge thread, and now there's a full blown discussion as if this is already getting done or will be done after pee-wee.

I don't get it... Who facilitated this?

Oil Men bathe in oil on a regular basis?

As ambitious as Plainview was in that movie, Yes I'd say he was covered in oil most of the time....probably reeked of it under that quail suit. "There will be Blood" as in Oil runs in his veins like Blood or willing to shed it, like Oil. (metaphor).

Oil man! It's what America was built on!

Rainman fiddled with his Bill for fun and came up with the head in a day so it was RM's call, which frankly even though I don't want this character, I prefer.

To be completely honest I was told by Rainman himself he was going to be doing this figure well before any of these other figures ever came along. I'm talking after The Dude here. I've expected him to be the next figure for some time now only to see another one announced and come along everytime.
