Tell me about it hadn't even had the chance to get pics of my figs up yet :(. Love BB will suck not having anywhere to discuss with everyone

So I have been around here for a few years but this is a total noob question.

I have never bought anything from Rainman but I know his work and how fantastic it is. So how does Rainman work with his sculpts? Will he put up a thread saying when the head in available? Does he only sell complete figures? I must know becuase I so dearly want this XD

I've spoken to rainman... he says you're very welcome to register and make a purchase but only if you resume making those GB elbow pads everyone so desparately needs! ;)

I signed up for Rainman's site. Not having his Bill the Butcher will likely always be one of my biggest figure regrets and if possible I do not want to miss out on this. Does he do flex pay or anything?

Now to read though this entire thread. I've read a few pages so far and I will say that an oil version would be awesome since otherwise he lacks the really memorable outfits and accessories that Bill would have. The oil effect would be really impressive and make him stand out a lot. Also needs to come with a wooden bowling pin and a bowling ball too.

The outfit is confirmed brother. He's not doing an oily version. Even though that was the look that the majority of people wanted initially, it was never a consideration :wink1:

Ah eek that's a shame. Well I imagine these figures go for a lot so at least I won't be sad when it turns out I can't afford him.

I am confused, just voted the poll.

Can you tell us which outfit it is going to be?

oh and congratualions Wofford, must be supertime, now only the wait ;-)

No flexpay Monger but you do have 7 days after you lock your order in to pay in full

$800-1000 for the full set.

But Rainman offers a $400ish clothes and head set that makes it's little more possible.

Exactly.
I really want me some Plainview figure but can't even afford clothes/head set cuz would have no time to collect the price.

I am a poor-poor man with all this HT stuff comin' out this year :lol

The outfit was chosen a very long time ago :) the poll was more for sheetz & giggles. RM is going with the Quail hunt outfit. Scroll back a few pages and you can see it and accessories.

What outfit did you vote for out of curiosity?

Also despite how hard Teddy tries to convince us otherwise, I feel like this is the least iconic look they could have went with :(

I think the best choices would have either been an oil covered look (would have loved this) or how he appeared in the very final scene, as that is the most iconic scene in the movie and the one most often quoted. Plus the accessories would have been hilarious.

Damn I really need to finish watching this movie :gah:

What's stopping you? It's a long film, but a very engaging one. Unlike Gangs of New York, it is a film that one can enjoy for more than just one character's performance.

Both great scenes(well of course. I'm not sure there is a bad scene in the entire movie) and great looks.
