I was surprised yesterday. I got my wish! No e-mail or phone call, it just showed up. Actually it is not for me, but for my son. I don't know how they do it, if it's random or not, I would hope people are not making up sob stories to try to win, in my case my story was entirely truthful. Without going into a ton of detail, my son has had 6 surguries this year ( he is 13) He has hardly complained at all, and has been a real brave soul through it all. He really wanted the Premium format Anakin. With the medical bills, and bad economy, I just couldn't do it. God Bless Sideshow! They came through in a BIG way.
There is a lot of complaining here about quality/pricing/etc. And much of the complaints are certainly legitimate. But, this has made me look at Sideshow in a new way. Too few companies give back to their customers. I am very impressed. I hope you all have a great Christmas, I know my son's face is absolutely going to light up Christmas morning!

He was excited to find out what was inside, and when he saw the Jurassic Park logo he started ripping through the paper extremely quickly.

Congrats Tom, that sort of joy is what it's all about.
I was also lucky enough to have a wish granted for my best friend. Long story short, he's getting out of the Army after putting in six years, spent most of his time in North Korea and Iraq, hated every second of it, and now he's looking forward to starting over fresh at something else.
As kids, our favorite movie was Robocop. In fact, the steel mill sequences at the beginning and end were filmed in our hometown, so it's always had a special significance. I mean we went to school about 100 yards from where Clarence Boddicker got pwned. So they granted my request for a Robocop PF. My friend still hasn't arrived home yet from his current base, but I think he'll be pretty surprised when he gets it. The last newsletter strongly hinted that I had won, but since I hadn't gotten any e-mail I figured it was someone else. In addition to the PF, they also sent a card with a personal message for my friend, which was a really nice touch.
So Sideshow continues to be the most generous company out there. I'll try and snap some pics of my friend with the PF when he gets back to the states. He'll probably have the same reaction as the kid with the JP dio

And btw the Robo PF is a very nice piece. Many of the proportion problems that I noticed in pics disappear in person. It poses extremely well, and the accessories give you a lot of option to keep your display fresh. When I get some more space, I'm definitely gonna pick one of these up for myself. THANK YOU SIDESHOW

Well let's just say that I had a little Xmas-Eve suprise of my own. I came home from a long day to find this sitting in my living room:
As a kid my Uncle gave me the original Kenner 12" Indy for Xmas one year. It was my favorite toy for the longest time. I took that figure with me everywhere I went including a trip to Florida where unfortunately it stayed as I stupidly left it in the hotel room. We were 500 miles away before I realized so there was no going back. I was devastated. When Sideshow announced the 12" Indy I quickly ordered it but due to financial issues and some personal things going on right now I had to cancel all my pre-orders. So I asked for the regular Indy as my wish totally not expecting it to come through... SSC IS AMAZING! THANK YOU!!!!

I wanted to post a thank you here to Sideshow as well for sending me my wish for my wife. I won't go into all the details, but the Aragorn Pf made her Christmas. The card was a wonderful addition, "a king for his princess".

Yep! I assume they are doing what they normally do and just ship them out without notification to anyone. Which is good because maybe my brother is getting one!

After getting the Aragorn Pf for my wife last year, and winning the Aod during spook this year, Sc has already blessed me enough. I chose not to enter this year to help spread the cheer to those who need it more than me. I do, however, really look forward to seeing some pics posted when people start getting thier gifts, so good luck and merry Christmas all!
