Mine had a little oil on th belt when I first took him out. It must have come from the suit because I'm using the v1's. Also it all seems to gather at the bottom of the belt and just say touches the ab area that everyone else has problems with.
I've had him on display with the belt on and the oil problem keeps coming back every few hours. Today he's spent most the day (and last night) in the box and I have no oil anywhere.

if the fellas right about the oil being due to chemicals mixing due to rushed out figures on hot toys part they need to fix up!
HOT TOYS products have improved 100% in terms of sculpts etc but QUALITY CONTROL leaves alot to be desired! and hasnt seemed to improve imo! i wouldnt care if it was a TOYSRUS cheap toy but these cost me a weeks wage give or take each!!
and you can soo imagine them at the factory putting people under pressure to get work done quicker for quicker releases cos that means more £$£$£$!!! which means rushed/botched paint or even uncomplete paint apps-john conner,bats,IM MKIII,scratched tumblers to name a few!(this has happend to me with a couple of figs)
and with things like expensive collectibles time needs to be taken to get it right these price points!! its happening to often for my liking!
it seems to me that with all thes new figures coming they struggle whereas a couple years ago they was only releasing a few figures a year whereas now they work on 5 or 6 diffrent movie licences at a time!
i wish someone would just tell them at hot toys to relax rather than rush things out! cos although their products are great,there is just too much disscussion on this board as a whole dedicated to quality control issues when the awesomeness of a figure should be the main focus!
WHEN YOUR WORRIED ABOUT ORDERING A FIGURE THAT MIGHT TURN UP OILY OR DEFORMED OR HAS PAINT PROBS! THEN ALL IS NOT RIGHT IMO!
1 or 2 dodgy figures out of a batch i could understand but this!
i love hot toys but just wish they sort it! maybe employ more peeps or something!
since i first started collecting,the prices of the figures has gone up too! my ht robocop cost me £100! now new figures are £140-60!
but quality control has not!
i do feel to forward this message to them but if their telling peeps just to 'rub off' any oil then i doubt they would care about what ive got to say!?

Masterside, you did a nice job with your pictures, but I think what is bugging BrooklynWolf X is the poses.
They do look a bit unnatural. I will use the following pics to illustrate:
The way he is holding the baterangs looks awkward and out of character... "unsexy" if you will.
Try reposing and think about how you would hold them. Where would your bicep be in relation to your shoulder and wrist? How far can you comfortably externally rotate your shoulder? Be clear as to whether you are posing him as getting ready to throw the baterang or kind of a GQ showing off the baterang pose. Right now I honestly don't know what you were going for. Also, be careful in which hands you choose for a pose and how you use them. I don't know what hands you get with the DX01, but the one you have chosen to hold the baterang looks a bit forced they way you are using it. Is there a hand that lets you pinch the baterang between thumb and forefinger?
Just to be clear most of the pics you posted were great... just work on tweeking the poses!

I think this has been discussed already, but I am starting to get worried about my DX01, and I have a timing/batch question:
I have mine on preorder from BBTS and it is due out "2nd Quarter 2010."
What batch will that be? I am glad that the warping and peeling issues are fixed on batch 2, but I'm the kind of guy that will be driven crazy by the leaking issue.
Will "2nd Quarter 2010" shipments be batch 3 you think? Really hope it would be worked out by then.
If not, I may cancel my preorder until I know when and how to acquire a flawless one!

Well I have the figure at last, and yes as soon as I got it out of the box there was oil on the right (My right) ab.
I cleaned it off 7 hours ago and put in my Detolf. I also put a silicon gel bag behind the figure. So far no more oil.

I thinl as Maulfan said, until Hot Toys acknowledges the problem it may never get fixed. How do you fix a problem if you don't know what's causing it. At least they said that the warped heads were due to a mold.

And they acknowledged a mixture problem with the paint behind the flaking issues that was dealt with.
If the problem is as Les' friend suggested and related to timing, the problem could get fixed by DCD shipment because HT doesn't seem to rush to get that out on any time frame, DCD shipment is always late and at times almost forgotten. If they're making those figures now for May they could let them cure and whatever as much as they need. It's a gamble though, no guarantees.

Thanks for the vid review DinoLast! Makes me feel a little better about keeping the preorder.
Question: Do the ankles tilt? At the end of your video his feet look like they go in a straight line from hip on down to feet. I like it when you can have a wider stance, but still have the feet flat on the ground.
Is that possible?

I find it odd that people think that their accent is cool just because there from the U.K. I'm sure dino's from Essex. It's just a normal accent to me.

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit the sonar and PERS head on the body of the first Hot Toys version of the Dark Knight or even on the Medicom version?

Both heads fit fine on the V1. I couldn't say for the the Medicom I don't own it.

Yes, the feet have a barbell connection system, so you can move the ball joint around in the foot and the calf.
