As much as I'd love to see Hot Toys do some of these things, I can understand why they don't. Their big money is in the variety of figures, it'd be too costly to tie up their sculptors with expansion sets for figures already done, or to hire more sculptors just to help do more for products that probably wouldn't be as big business as full figures. From the recent interview with Yulli, it sounds like the sculptor's don't have a lot of time with the work load as is.

yeah an even angrier mouth with teeth would match the Hit me scene even better Only thing surely whoever would be selling these can't be charging a lot and would make these almost purely for pride and joy?

Agents are hard nosed basterds and the 'artists' tend to be prima donnas who just want to look beautiful... it's a rock and a hard place for the sculptors, they want to put emotion and expression into the work, but they just know it'll end up turned down!

Interesting, too bad though, I guess we should be glad and feel lucky for the ones that have a bit of life to them. I think that might make sense of the troubles HT went through on the BD Iron Man, the other sculpts were probably trying to be more evocative of the action of the final scene and the Mark 2 was just more plain.

Anyone else considering getting another one to just display as HK Batman?

I think a lot of people are just using that look as a way to make use of the original TDK figure.

Always wanted to but that DX02 just ain't liking to bend down on his knees Also would need to rig up some sort of a Dio with windows and lights to really get that pose to shine but well the pose is almost impossible unless anyone managed and like to post some pics? My HK Bat with backpack and sticky gun is just standing

Even if it could pose crouched, I wouldn't do it long term, it'd stretch out the rubber and leave permanent wrinkles, unless you wanted to commit to the figure being posed like that for the rest of it's life.

With so much else out there I'm interested in, I'd probably enjoy the look of multiple DXs on display representing his looks, but it's quite a bit of money that could go towards something else I'd have to give up to do it and I don't care about it that much.

I know a member here's exploring making his suit cage with the weapons and such, hope they follow through, I'd like to see a 1/6 attempt at that.

Oil update: Had it 3 day boxed up on top of my wardrobe. Inspected it today and...oily mess around the abs
Have we established what the hell causes it?

Might as well put it to some use, average price was like $150 for the v1, if you can still gain from that investment why not. Either putting DX parts with it to use the spare parts, or once having the DX to stand and look nice, using the v1 as a permanent Batpod rider if you have it.

No, we're waiting until after the Chinese New Year to hopefully have more light shed on it.

I wish I was loaded with money, there have been some amazing dio pieces built, the interrogation room, the Dent podium, the bat signal, they look great and would be nice to have, but with finite money, I'd get more joy out of a character figure than an inanimate piece of display enhancement.

Man, after all of the problems with this figure, I'm sure glad that Michael Crawford hasn't reviewed it yet! It would definitely reduce the final score AND I'm sure he would have a plethora of things to mention in the "Things to Watch Out For" section of his review. I wonder if HT's models got a wide-range of bad reviews then that might be an incentive for them to pay attention to these little details.

On another note, I said this on the poll thread regarding this oil buildup, if you have just received your Batman and it is leaking, DO NOT touch the oil, I think that the rubbing and constant cleaning might have a negative effect on the ab area and the rubber and paint may suffer. I think it is best to let it dry out. I know those of you out there like MF feel that it is best to get a replacement and I completely understand that outlook as well; however, I just hope that those of you out there who are not looking to get a replacement will think about this alternative option to cleaning the oil off. Maybe it might work and the oil will eventually dry out or stop seeping.

Me too! DX Bats is soooooooo much better, but as a batpod rider, I guess V1 is the solution. Its a pain to pose into the pod, but once it gets there... Amazing stuff...

has anybody checked the the bicep armor (under the shoulder pad)? mines got oil in it too and there some bubbly on the rubber.

It's oil...it's not going to dry out. That's why it's there in the first place, to keep the abs from drying out. It's just going to sit there and...well, be oily.
