Very nice...I wanna see more.
I should buy it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I agree. I waited way too long to get this figure. Once I did, I was almost mad at myself for doing so. It's a top five figure for me.

:exactly: This guy is near the top of my list. Watching Superman in the theater at 5 years old was such an amazing and unforgettable experience for me and this figure was a no brainer from day 1. HT made me very happy with this figure, especially the Reeve hs. :hi5:

Same here. Actually, I was a little older, say 10. But this is definitely the grail of Superman toys IMO. :lecture

:goodpost: Yep, this and Star Wars blew my mind away as a little one. Some of my earliest memories in life, but it seems like yesterday. :lol I would love it, if HT dove into this line with the supporting cast. A Zod & Lex would be fantastic. I have been tempted by the Mattel versions, but they would need a ton of work, before standing next to this Superman.:wink1:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Agreed that it does seem like yesterday.

I remember having nearly a complete Kenner SW series, some Micronauts, and owning the Kenner 18" Alien. Indeed, some fun times back then.

Between Supes and the Hulk TV series, cemented my life long fasination for super heroes!

Agreed, this figure is epic good and also in my top five hot toys aswell, if I were a bigger fan he would be my number one favorate but I'm not diehard on superman. They captured reeves superman to the letter, the sculpt, the body, the suit is all done right.

I too slept on this figure for several months after the release, I picked the exclusive up on a wim from sideshow, When I got him I was blown away how good the figure was:panic:

I took a couple cool random shots in my cab in the shadows...captures Reeve perfectly - I think:yess:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

There can be no doubts about it being a beautiful piece.
On any Hot Toys figure, you will always have a divided opinion on whether it is any good.
This one seems to have pretty much only a positive following.
No-one hates this figure, and most love it.
Oh, and great pics.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Forigno IS the HULK as far as I'm concerned. That man needs a 1/6 figure!

Also, much love to Bill Bixpy RIP.

Speaking of Superhero tv shows, I've been thinking recently and it's probably been discussed on the boards before, but it would be cool to see HT do a George Reeves Superman. I was thinking they could maybe do a two pack with one that's black and white and another that's in color.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Managed to snag a fortress base a couple of weeks back from a member here for $20.
Didn't come with the clear tube and grip stand, but i had one on the Goblin, so i have used that till i get a replacement sorted out.
I stuck it in a tub of boiling water and popped it open, then dremelled the mounts from the underside panel to give more room in there.
Then i drilled two holes at the base of each pillar of crystal and installed a 10-LED lighting system powered by a 9V battery. When it was fitted and a suitable switch found in my box of spares, i hooked it all up and sealed the base again.
Now the thing looks the business and really sets off my Superman shelf in my Detolf. I know i'm not the only one who has done this. Just posting pics of mine.

Greedy, how?
Because i have more than one? ngelaku sells the Reeve Superman for $150 and i have picked up a couple from him that way.
I like the Reeve Superman figure.
My next favourite is my DX12, then my TFA Captain America(In many respects, the Captain America figure is superior, but simply due to the detail in his suit).
If anyone here doesn't have the Reeve Superman yet, don't care about having the fortress base(And may be hesitating due to the prices), keep checking out the sales forum. They turn up all the time.
It's the reason i have 4 of the Reeve figure, two spare bodies, one spare suit and four spare heads.
Now i am just looking for 4 spare stands, lol.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

You really should not take words of some random guy from the Internet so seriously, man. :D We're all greedy here in some way.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Damn, nice job, Username! Looks really professionally done and I had to read your post to see that the lights weren't stock (was wondering why none of the other pictures I'd seen had the light turned-on, though). I really like this figure but just not a big enough fan of old school DC comics or Superman to pick it up. Still think it's one of HT's best, though, in terms of capturing Reeve and the character. Strangely, I'm thinking about picking up Man of Steel, if I enjoy the movie enough. Just really like how they updated the costume and colours for the relaunch (keep thinking about pitting him in a display with an HT Hulk, at some point).

Love that custom Base light, very well done :clap
I will be getting the HT Jor EL figure next week to go with my Supes, cant wait :yess:

Lol. when i sent a couple of pics from my iPhone to my Brother(Who is the biggest Superman fan i know, see vid below for a quick look at his collection), he said the same thing about the lights...
The total cost of parts was $32 for the base($20 plus $12 shipping from Indonesia), £12 for the lights and an hour's worth of labour. It was quite easy, to be honest.

Man of steel is a must for me. I love the look. I'll get one boxed, one to keep and maybe one or two loose from the trading post from the people who part figures out.
Here's a very brief look at my Brother's Superman collection.

Sweet. Be sure and post pics. I have considered getting Jor El, but always stop short of picking one up.
I suppose theoretically, he could be displayed with either Reeve, OR Routh.
