Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks dude. Photos do not do this figures likeness justice. It's mindblowinly accurate.

Even any video review, just don't pick up the subtle details on this head sculpt, or the hands.

I think it's very hard to take a BAD image with the Reeve headsculpt! It doesn't scream, but calmly proclaims this is Kal-El of Krypton.
Last Son of a dead world, come to protect ours.

True, BAD images don't exist of this figure, but it is even more amazing in hand.

And paramoremcr88, you will LOVE this figure too!
It's on par with my Keaton Batman.

It's all about the love. Superlove! Lol.

Could have said Superman love, but that could have been taken really the wrong way! Lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Easily one of Hot Toys best figures.I'm still in awe of it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Holy cow Username.... Those are absolutely amazing!!

I was gonna take some of it outside with the Fortress of Solitude stand in the snow for more effect, but lo and behold, all the bloody snow has now gone! Lol

Thanks. The sun was blazing today and i took the opportunity to get those pics while i could. You can't fake that sunlight when you photoshop a figure into outdoors images. You really need to get it in camera.

Yeah. I for one am glad the snow is gone.
Maybe next year though!

"You will believe an action figure can fly!"

Nice, I see something around the right ankle, but how did you accomplish the flying effect for the photos?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah I'm glad the snow is going too. Would have made an awesome photo tho. Lol

Thanks.
I got an 8ft length of aluminium tubing, attached the HT waist cradle, taped the right ankle to the pole(Just in case the waist cradle gave way), and attached it to the back wall of my garden.
It is up high, so if i take images from down low it's mainly sky and clouds you can see behind him.
All i did was crudely photoshop out the pole and the waist cradle in all the images.
As i said in my post above, you cannot photoshop the figure into an outdoor scene unless the figure was photographed in sunlight. The light never matches up. So i try to take as much of it in camera as possible. When you know where to look you see where i did the photoshopping. But when you don't, your eye doesn't see those details. The lens flares from the sun and bright natural light forgive a lot of errors. I took close to 200 images to get those ten that i was really happy with.
I am trying to develop a way to have him attached to a pole without the waist cradle. It will cut down on the work i have to do with photoshop.
Here are some "source" images(It's not *really* witchcraft, lol):

Very cool dude! A very creative solution to making a very convincing illusion. Looking forward to the further innovations you'll come up with in the future. A definite leap (in a single bound! ;)) above the usual photos of posed figures that we post here.
