Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Very cool dude! A very creative solution to making a very convincing illusion. Looking forward to the further innovations you'll come up with in the future. A definite leap (in a single bound! ;)) above the usual photos of posed figures that we post here.

Thanks a lot.
It helps that the Reeve figure is so likelike. I couldn't do that with the V1 Routh Superman...
I am working in a fixture on my "Iron Lady" WIP so it can be screwed onto a pole for flying shots.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Are there any plans for a mk2 version or a later movie version of Superman?

Such as a Clark or bad Superman?

Not that i know of.
I would have thought any new release will be supplimental. Like the original release PLUS a Kent suit/headsculpt/hat.

Although cant improve on perfection. But a green Krypton power crystal would have been a nice touch.

For anyone else interested in this kind of photography who might not be as adept in Photoshop (or any editing software). The quickest/easiest way to do the edit with good results is to use a tripod and take two photos, one without supes/pole and one with. Composite (layer) the images with the pole version on top and then erase the pole using a feathered eraser. Merge, export/save.

Oh, and in my best Boston accent, "wicked friggen awesome photos."

Like this guy?

Yeah. Would have been nice to hold or a place in the stand for it to go, or a stand that included the console where the crystals went to talk to Jor-El and Lara.

That crystal would take less than ten minutes to make if you wanted one. Just get a slab of green perspex and sand it to shape.

All i did was clone out the background. Not the cleanest cloning either. Most people are just looking at the figure...

It is so cool. Almost as tho he's gonna give you that knowing look as tho everything is alright before flying out of shot.

He's so much better than I was expecting! Such an excellent figure. Love the head sculpt, the detail is amazing! I'm just uploading my pics to Photobucket, when they're done I'll post a couple.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Very nice. I think the true beauty of this sculpt is that it can look peaceful, benign AND Angry, depending on the picture taken.
Keep the pics coming.
