Lol looks like a toupee username . With a bit more practice I'm sure you'll get it right. I don't mean it in a bad way either bud.

changed my green lighting to blue not so its not kryptonite.
You cant tell because of lighting but the 1 on right is the evil version.

Did a little resculpt on a Reeve head to give him the goofy Kent hair.

This looks awesome, man! I have to agree that the hair is just a tad bit off. That should be an easy fix, though. Also, I suggest using these glasses: Cotswold black eyeglasses

Thanks for the link. I'll definitely order some of those.
And I appreciate the criticism.
I removed the hair from before and started again.
More pics soon.

You are probably not going to like hearing this but I think your first attempt was better.

The reddish brown highlights look wrong - I would probably paint it straight black. The other problem is that Chris Reeve really slicked his hair down when he was Clark Kent. You would probably want to dremel the existing hair down the skull (at least on top of the head) before building up the Clark Kent hairdo. Otherwise it will look like he is wearing a toupee or wig. The hair sculpting looks great - it just sits so high since it was sculpted on top of the existing hairdo.

I really don't want this to sound too critical. And if you are happy with it, isn't that the important thing anyways? I keep waiting for Headplay to recast this head with the properly sculpted Clark Kent hairdo, but the recast on Ebay has the hair parted to the wrong side.

I am hoping this is a bit more understated.

I did actually dremel it down a fair bit.
I will go back to the base again then.

Hey nice work on the CK custom. If you're gonna give the hair another go I'd try to not cover as much of the forehead and not build it up as much on the top.

I've attached a pic of my custom so you can see how I went about it. there's more pics in the DC customs section.

It's a shame that the Superman hair sculpt has a bit of hair next to the s curl which makes it hard to put the hair parting in the correct place. You can get away with it for a "Superman the Movie" Clark as in some scenes it looks that way, but in Superman III he never has his hair like that, so to adjust the hair to match that style wouldn't be possible without sculpting in and painting some forehead. Check the attached images to see what I mean.

Thanks. I know exactly what you mean. I'll give it another go. My Brother is a big Superman fan, so i want to get it as right as i can.

That's great. Thanks for the pics. If you have a minute, could you email me some closeups of the face/hair from different angles? It will help me get a feel for it as your custom is the look i am going for. Email is in my sigline. Thanks in advance.

I know. That was a major hindrance to me in replacing the Superman hair. But i was also going for a really goofy 70's version of the hair. See the pic at the bottom of this post.

It does, when he loses his powers and is in the diner
Great work Barry

I think it looks very Supes 2 Chris Reeves.

Thanks a lot guys. I like it myself, but it will need to be perfect to pass muster with my Brother. So i'll have to have another go at it.

Ah, I see the look you're after now, cool, well then I guess the lower hair fits the look. Just keep an eye out to make sure it's not too tall on top and it should come out great. Good luck with the next go!

It's looking great, mate. Just sticks out a little too much on the sides but you're definitely moving in the right direction. Can't wait to see the final product!

Thanks a lot for the link to your custom. Great work. Where did you get the overcoat?
