Hi guys, just sharing on CR Superman! I just love this underestimate figures: the HS is perfect, the costume is accurate, the box is an art and the diorama is smart. But 1 thing I think is missing on this figure, instead of Evil, they should try BD:

and together with regular:

Thanks to Caplank BMX to make my imaginations happen!

That bd version is by psycho right?
Great job and the slight resculpt on the hair makes a big difference

Regular. I found a local seller. All is good. I had the evil version ordered on sideshow but couldn't go through with it so I cancelled. I want the original to go with the Keaton Batman. They look so good together.

Yeah I agree on this! Keaton & CR together....awesome! I dont know overseas prices but in Indonesia this guy is so below the radar. Before I got for around USD 120 or less but now I think it is around USD 150 before delivery cost....anyway, ebay not always having bad price, right? Try amazon.com!:lecture

Thanks Spark! Unfortunately, it is by Caplank BMX. I am more into this guy because he fast on response, friendly, and never getting tired to fix our problems especially by our preference, meaning if you feel his job is not as you expected, he will do it again until meeting your expectation. Unless he cant re-do it anymore :rotfl
He loves to improves himself....you should try this guy and hey, his price is so into our pockets.... thank god! You got good eyes, yeah he added a bit of hairdo and I asked his favor to do greyish hair because somehow, these superheroes still look awesome on their late ages. I also asked him to do the eyes: green color.....suggesting he conquers kryptonites

Is there a black trouser/white shirt combo available anybody can recommend that will fit this figure?? he's a tall one...

I used a dark blue pinstripe from Toys City that is a pretty movie accurate suit. They also do a plain black suit. I changed out the body as I didn't want him to look huge, with all the thickness of the extra layers on the muscular body, but the length is still about the same.

Well sorted out the emblem and belt to a fashion.
This suit is a real nightmare to handle.
Tried the blue gloves but they make my hands sweat to much.
Think I might sell my mint in box supes as the snagging on the suit is realky annoying and I like to repose the figure a lot.
Everything is the original figure with a black wash except the boots from the evil version.

Still need to darken the belt/emblem and repaint the head but like it alot.
The ht sculpt is very good although pics dont do it justice.

Try some tight-fitting white cotton gloves. Less sweat, but still adequate protection from any skin abrasions.

looks great ,glad you got the emblem sorted ,what method did you use

Cheers, still have some more things to do with the base and might darken the suit some more, depending what it looks like next to the original.
Thanks for your advice was gunna use glue and glad I didn’t as its messy and you never get in the right place first time.

I used a hairdryer to warm it up and firmly smoothed out from middle to the edges.
Luckily there was enough of the original glue to hold it.
Not perfect but done the job:)

Here's some shots of a custom base I made for my Superman. It was completed over a year ago, but I wasn't a member here at time so this is the first I've posted about it. I also scratch built a kryptonite necklace, since I didn't get the VIP version.

Here's a video so you can check it out all lit up!

And a comparison pic I did between the figure and my favourite promo shot of Reeve.

Oh my...the diorama looks solid!!! :clap:clap:clap

Wow that fortress base and light up features on the crystal chamber and kryptonite are really nice.:hi5:
Think I might try something similar, if I can make some room, as these things take up alot of space.
Worth it though:yess:

edit just checked the video:thud:

That is and I don't use this word alot, unlike others on here.
Frickin Awesome:hi5:

Did you wire all that and build the circuit or use exisiting lights?
Reason being, I have some christmas lights, that make the same strobing and flickering patterns identically.
Really effective, especially like the strobing effect.
Might buy some extra sets this year from "lidl".
Anybody in the uk or europe, will know the store and they are cheap which is a bonus.
If I can find a link or product image, I'll post it for anybody interested in building their own fortress.

I'd love to build a molecule chamber and have the red glow, that would look intense.
First hot toys gotta make a new/old general zod.

Somebody start a petition, its gotta to happen, just when?:tap

Yeah, I just used christmas lights. 2 sets. One white and the other green and blue. The whole thing is foam board, straws and hot glue. The main console was cut from a ferrero roche box and the snow on top is baking soda mixed with PVA glue. So the whole thing was really cheap.

Nice work on the junkyard dio by the way.

Ferrero roche eh? Posh:)
"With this base your spoling us"

Like your style:)
I’m of the same mind. Recycled a broken clip frame for the base and the junk is literally broken toys and kinex bits, an old broken storage crate and the yellow generator was a broken Wall E.
Still want to add a few extras but really pleased so far, cheers.

i'm looking for some help with my Hot Toys superman. It fell and the arm broke. I have a replacement body, but want some instructions on how to best get the costume - and particularly the boots - off the original. can anyone point me to a good photo essay on how to do so, or just some good instructions? many thanks.

If anyone is interested I’m selling this guy for a fair amount. pm if interested.
