Thought the DX 12 wasn't all that accurate? I thought there were a ton of guys complaining about the look of it in that thread.

The cowl itself is not the biggest problem. IMO the biggest problems are: the ridiculous face plates, and the big eyes.. the cowl needs only a few improvements. And is far more accurate than the DX02 cowl. And the custom empty cowl is based on the DX02 cowl.

The cowl itself is MUCH more accurate than DX02's. But that doesn't mean it's all that great. The eyes/brows and face plates are ****n weird on DX12 (which are pretty much absent on an empty cowl).

DX12 cowl is not very accurate but it's better than the DX02 cowl.

I'm not bothered by the ex. I'll get an empty cowl made based on the medi cowl for myself

FINALLY got back to the hotel, and here are the more detailed pics I took with my Canon (the pics I posted earlier were all from my iPhone):

I know this has been mentioned recently by others, I think it bears repeating....looking at these great pictures posted by Viper2005 a while back and comparing them to the "official" gallery of pics over at the SS order page...it's REALLY apparent that more than a little PS sleight-of-hand took place there, especially with the neck and eyes.

Now, I'm all for sweetening a photo's levels or whatnot for effect, but...when it's done like this to ALTER how the figure is presented for sale, well, that's a little unnerving to say the least.

Maybe this happens all the time with their (HT) stuff and I never noticed (correct me here if I'm mistaken, please)...but in this case, it's really obvious that the photos are altered...and that's a shame. I'd rather see the figure - warts and all - than have the pictures sweetened to the point of showing something you're not getting...

Now, that gallery shows the figure in a great light - lots of good, natural looking poses (although any "rear" views are noticeably absent- but at least Viper's shots give a peek at that)...

Have a look at the "official" gallery, than come back here and look at Viper's shots...big differences.

Sorry to disappoint you but it is not the final product. This **** is exactly the same thing from HK or TW exhibition.

Not everyone who happens on that order page are going to have seen the shots of the figure from trade shows or store displays, where the figure is shown as it is, not with smoothed-over/shaded joints.

Not everyone who happens on that order page are going to have seen the shots of the figure from trade shows or store displays, where the figure is shown as it is, not with smoothed-over/shaded joints.

I think they actually changed the body!! and the headsculpt looks the same to me. The Catwoman you showed above, is a prototype on a really early stage.

How was it secured in real life, was it glued to her face

I know she doesn't take off the mask while wearing the suit, that really shouldn't matter. Having a removable mask would add so much value to this figure

I love this and I want to buy it,
but the non removable mask ruins the possibility to find the other clothes and put them on her, I really wish they didn't do it this way

I wonder if all the people banging on about a removable mask have considered how the begeebuz they'd futz the hair to suit a maid/prison/couture outfit? Probably not is my guess.
