I've been pretty disappointed with some of HT's releases over the past year - they seem to have been more "hit or miss" versus in the past, pretty much everything they released was either "groundbreaking or record-breaking". I think this is an awesome figure, though, and hopefully a return to form for them. Nice job, HT!

I wonder if all the people banging on about a removable mask have considered how the begeebuz they'd futz the hair to suit a maid/prison/couture outfit? Probably not is my guess.

No reason it can't be done.

Equally the mask, if glued/pegged on should be able to be removed with a similar amount of effort. I don't buy the complaints is all.

The complaint is that it would be a very easy thing to incorporate IMO which would save the trouble of customising that aspect, for $190 and complete barebones, it's not too much to ask IMO, and again I am of the firm view that had there been another company like EB competing with HT on 1/6 TDKR figures, it would be something that would've been built in

actually it did. this figure's quality isn't that much better than even the recent battle suit jill figure which came with tons of accessories. are you telling me rooted hair is the sole reason for the almost $50 increase? get off hot toys' sack for once please.

Battle Suit Jill is nothing compared to this. She looks awkward in most poses. Jill's sculpt is also pretty damn plain.

lol she is nothing compared to this? she doesn't look awkward in poses if you futz (which you will have to do with this figure too) and the body they are using for this figure isn't drastically that different. the only difference in sculpt quality is the rooted hair and the mask glued on.

i see a lot of cognitive dissonance going on in these hot toys threads these days. collectors convincing themselves that they are not getting ripped off by making up illogical reasons on why the recent figures are worth the prices they are paying. your reasoning doesn't make any sense to conclude that this figure should be worth $50 more than BS Jill with all her weaponry and similar outfit.

i used to work in consulting and was sent to manufacturing plants and factories in China and Hong Kong quite a few times and i can tell you right now that hot toys is most likely making a killer profit per figure and that these price points are not because of "rising costs" as much as people believe.

Not that long ago all I read from recent hikes was because of likeness rights for the Batman 89 figures. More so to Jack Nicholson. So, I'd like to know the masses reasoning to the recent TDKR Batman and Joker that costs even more than the 89 figures.

The defense of HT on this figure is especially strong. I see tons of problems just like everyone does with every SINGLE HT release, but yet pointing out anything seems to be a taboo here because too many boys here want to get their hands on Hathaway...

I'm still not very impressed with HT's female characters. Something just doesn't look right. Don't get me wrong, this IS the BEST 1/6 version of Nolan's catwoman, and it would take me my entire life and maybe more to even come up with anything better (I'm not a sculptor or painter, but you get my point).

Anyways, for those that are paying $200 for this, they can ***** and moan as much as they want. I don't get why people are defending HT for not making the mask removable, or adding more "options" to the figure. Obviously, they will do the minimum and still get everyone's money, but as buyers, can't we talk about what we "wish" came with the figure. Who gives a rat's arse if the mask wasn't removed while in costume on the figure. I'd like to see how well the facesculpt is underneath. Its not like all you boys out there are not gonna unzip the suit first thing you get to "check for damages" or take those cleavage shots.

I don't see how you don't see the difference. I have Jill standing here right now, and she is not on par with Catwoman. Not much to futz on Jill either, it's a skin tight battle suit with sculpted hair. You also seem to have missed the part where I said awkward in MOST poses. Even evident in the official pics... Catwoman's official pics look much better.

I'm not defending prices, they've gotten out of hand (two bare figures these days cost as much as a Tumbler!), but the Jill figure is no Catwoman.

Not a joke, but not literal either, you should be able to tell. What I mean is I think a lot of people here are just happy this character is coming from HT to the extent that their expectations are lower than usual. I've seen way more bashing on other figures and I surely am not on the camp that thinks this piece is for some reason "above average" by "alot". I think it comes with its flaws, but see no reason to skip it because obviously, I want to finish the line, and recognize this is the best version that we'll get (for now).

Back to CW, a person in FB said he asked someone [i forgot who]
at the con and that someone told him that the mask is removable.

Kinda doubt it, though. It should've been in the specs if it were really
removable.
