Re: Hot Toys MMS188 The Dark Knight Rises: Selina Kyle/Catwoman Figure Full Specs & P

Love the stand.
Love the costume.
Hate the neck.
Hate the hairline.

Headsculpt is good, don't love it, don't hate it.

:clap:clap

This is how I feel too, except I do like the head sculpt a lot. The hairline is not very well done and the neck really needs to be fixed.

Re: Hot Toys MMS188 The Dark Knight Rises: Selina Kyle/Catwoman Figure Full Specs & P

Oh I feel a slippery slope approaching...

I want the 1966 1/6 TV Batmobile, but I cannot get any others (space + budget etc).
But I want to get CW.
CW's signature look is on the Batpod.
I should get the Batpod.
If I get the Batpod, I should really get the....etc etc

Oh crap! :slap

that's life bro :1-1:

Looks like her head is off centre on her neck making the neck jut out. Thats an easy enough fix - still not an attractive joint though.

finally PO-ed this baby for US$ 146 plus shipped :yess:

Re: Hot Toys MMS188 The Dark Knight Rises: Selina Kyle/Catwoman Figure Full Specs & P

Really wish I could afford the Batpod to go with her. They are built for each other.

I don't think anyone was ever so adamant about having Batman himself on the Batpod as everyone seems to be with Catwoman.

:exactly:

I've had the Batpod for a while and have yet to pose Batman on it, but it's the first stop for Selina for sure. I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone but I think the pod just adds a bit of badassery to Catwoman and allows you to show off her assets some what...:wink1:

at least a cat can ride a bike :panic:

Re: Hot Toys MMS188 The Dark Knight Rises: Selina Kyle/Catwoman Figure Full Specs & P

The neckline is mandatory, as she would need to be able to look up when riding the pod. Personally I'm not bothered by it.

Don't see why it can't be done with a cutoff along the jawline - the neck itself is quite thin given its female, so even with a jawline cutoff I imagine plenty of poseability could be achieved

Hmm. I don't know about that either. Not a fan of them on any figure for that matter. Especially not 1:4 scale museum quality figures, looking at you EB T-800.

Maybe for technical issues that we are not aware of :dunno

Not a fan of neckless heads in general myself, but if you're gonna have a neckless head, it's got to be executed more gracefully than this one - ie with a jawline cutoff

Maybe for technical issues that we are not aware of :dunno

perhaps - though I can't fathom any technical issues that would arise from that :dunno

no worries,
usually HT will fix this on their final products

Re: Hot Toys MMS188 The Dark Knight Rises: Selina Kyle/Catwoman Figure Full Specs & P

Hot Toys female necks are TOO thin... it's not realistic... more cartoony. But you can't tell most of the time.

The stands for this new wave of Batman figures are killing me. Bane has a grate, Batman has steps, Joker has a metal thing (these two are expected since they are DX), and now Catwoman has some rain thing going on. Not that I don't like the stands individually, but it will bug me to no end displayed together.

I guess when that's my one complaint HT did a good job :D
