It would still be too much like TDK. Different motivations, very similar methods. It would also not have the means to bring the trilogy full circle the way this movie did.

Unless the Riddler character was just one of the characters in the film that also included a League of Shadows element like Bane. It could be also be argued that Bane was too much like Ra's, but that worked just fine.

I just think Riddler was a missed opportunity for Nolan to continue his tradition of intricate puzzle-like plots.

Since Moriarty first appeared in 1893 you may find the Joker was a variation of him.

Since Moriarty first appeared in 1893 you may find the Joker was a variation of him.

But the Moriaty in the books is one boring posh old man. I dare say the BBC potrayal of him is somewhat inspired by the Joker.

bane was very similar, but added a very much needed physical element to batman's story.

Nothing to do with anything in the thread, but i thought i'd apologise for my post yesterday(Which has thoughtfully been cleaned up).
Tomorrow is the second anniversary of my Mum's death, and i was too preoccupied to see the ironic smilies used by the other members. On reflection(And with all the "you're a dumbass" pics) i realised they were posted ironically. But i totally didn't get that until after i had hit the "post" button.
Sorry if i ruined anything for anyone who read my hastily written post.
