shame because the body is really nice, it may be that they are just some real bad photos... but I guess we can always turn to the custom market for a replacement head (in the long run) if all else fails!!

I just checked and my last Flex was also moved to Aug.

If you guys manage checking/savings, why can't you pay it off all at once? It's a preorder. Flex pay it yourself by slowly moving funds in chunks to a designated toy account and then use that to pay off the entire cost when it's charged.
I hate when stores charge on a preorder and refuse to ever give any of my money away before I know an item is available and in stock for shipping.
I pre-ordered in February, so I've not laid out a cent yet and the order is guaranteed so long as it eventually gets released. No risk, lots of time to gather funds if needed.With the current system in place there really isn't much point to the Flex Pay option for pre-orders that are more than X months out, where X is the number of flex periods.

Yeah, someone else posted them a few pages back, I have a feeling they are authentic, but they had to sculpt the face weirdly to fit the mask.
I found these pics on Hot Tyos Tumblr account - are these actual pic of the head? If so it looks pretty damn fugly unmasked

You know that little square icon to the left of a thread title in the forum's thread list? That takes you to the first new post in a thread. Clicking that will prevent folks from jumping over a bunch of discussion.
I'm still not convinced the mask actually comes off... Mainly because I'm not confident a detailed and thin enough mask for that purpose can be made to look "nice." We could be looking at two different heads - wouldn't that be a surprise pack-in. But that also means the unmasked version has a relatively poor Hathaway likeness.

Ha! I had to edit three times, but the image was up the very first time. The forum converted the gif into a JPEG the first time which of course loses the animation. So I blanked out the message and image while I uploaded the gif to Photobucket, before a final edit.
Get with the program, you snooze, you lose.

If this is the HT head sculpt, Is it being assumed we are getting a maskless sculpt or that this is what the sculpt looks like before the mask is attached?

Either/Neither? It's just interesting to look at, and investigating sculptural/artistic details is pretty straight forward. However, making any kind of guess on a marketing decision like that would really be a total stab in the dark. If someone out there knows what Hot Toys are actually planning, they're not sharing in here so far. Now if we got a picture of the interior of the box, foam layer specifically, then we'd be cooking.

May just be as you've mentioned - paint differences, but I'm still not convinced it's the same head.

Which one, the one with the mask or the one without?
I can guarantee you the one without the mask is not the same physical piece (in a bet-making kind of way because I don't obviously work for HT). I can also guarantee you that the one with the mask is also not the same head, but likely a newer production-level sample. But they're both produced from the same or nearly identical sculpt and both are definitely Hot Toys.
The original head sculpt was not going to have a removable mask. The info is as plain as day on Hot toys specs page about this. Whatever head was used for the earliest promo pics probably had no facial details behind the mask, just whatever moulding needed to glue the mask in place.
I've already speculated that the maskless sculpt might be a secondary head because it doesn't look like a suitable mask could be made to sit well on the face. The sideburn area on the two latest shots, masked and unmasked, are also different, meaning the photos, while taken in the same place, are of two different pieces. But, no one knows what will be released. Maybe only the masked version as was originally planned, the unmasked being a production sample used for testing purposes only. Who knows.
