My point is that the date should not matter for a pre-release item. The Flex system should only kick in and be scheduled into their payment system once the item is flagged as in-stock. So whether it's expected tomorrow or in two months and whether it's out today or in a year from now, the first flex payment would be scheduled for the first applicable date after the item is marked as in-stock. It's a little more compacted to develop than the system they have, but not so difficult that anyone somewhat experienced in database development couldn't knock it up and test it in a few days.
Then again, this is Sideshow we're talking about, and I've used their order system enough times to know whomever is designing/implementing it isn't wired right to begin with.
