Me and Kuat checked an official licensing record site a while back and it looked legit. I think the Big Trouble in Little China license was listed and another I can't remember. It wasn't Tick or Ghostbusters IIRC, might've been Lennon.

TheLicensingLetter, which seems to be an pretty legit news site for all things licensing, listed them as acquiring all of the following

BTILC
Ghostbusters
Harry Potter
Hobbit
John Lennon
LOTR
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

I expect you all have a very long wait before you'll see the list of offerings complete.


350 pages since February... and no hint of delivery for their first figure.

There is lots of work taking place at the moment, and it's taking longer than expected to get the quality we want.


We will not be satisfied with an average figure and if it means a longer waiting time then we are prepared to wait.


We are also waiting on the John Lennon estate for approval so we cannot give a time.

Whoa. That simply says it all. Prematurely sold who knows how many figures and it's not even seen approval. I mean, is that even remotely normal or does this just add to their ponzi scheme? Either way, buyer beware. Yesh.

Molecule8: the gift that money can't buy.

It makes me sad that, out of all the proven 1/6 scale companies, Molecule8 was the one to score the Wonka license.

I'm still hoping this works out and that they're just going through a rough patch, with this being their first release and all. So far it's being handled laughably bad, which doesn't give me a lot of hope.

They posted plain as day way back in late May / early June that the figure was ready but being "delayed to give retailers an opportunity to participate in the release." Delays are part of the industry but typically the reasons for the delays have not been given...choosing to give an unnecessary lie to justify the delay is quite problematic...

If they actually had the 1/6 Willy Wonka license....what happens now? Can they sit on that for a long time? Can they sell it to anther investor? Can another company buy the same license?

I think there's a difference between a license and an exclusive license. Asmus has LOTR in that scale and so does ACI and M8.

This looks kind of grim for Wonka. If they haven't secured approval for one I doubt they have for the other. Plus Wilder was known for keeping a tight leesh on his rights. I'm not sure his estate will be much different. Urg.

Ok again just had this argument on a Facebook group! Some numb nut was cracking on about the approval so just because it hasn't been approved yet blitzway put GB set up for pre order and that was pending yet.

Of course this wasn't going to ship in August they do need to sort their **** out because how they are doing things is wrong! I want them to succeed but they need to pull their heads out their asses and realise this way of doing things isn't going to work!
