Wait, so what's going on here? I don't feel like reading back through countless pages.

Has M8 pulled the plug on this figure? Or have they closed their doors before ever really opening them or something?

I canceled my PO for this a couple months back. Got suspicious when you didn't even see a working prototype and no body of work in which to judge them.

I'm with Star here. What's happened? Is it that M8 has gone silent and we assume the worse, or is there any evidence that they've closed shop?
I hope they haven't gone under as I was looking forward to what this company could do without all the hoopla.

Maybe they are quiet because there is significant retooling going on...or at least that's the hope lol. I just recently got my refund through PayPal, so I also no longer have a horse in this race.

I think a product will deliver in the end of this all, but to what quality level is the question. I don't think they were purposely doing this as some big con. As someone said earlier, they pushed their boat out too far. They clearly spent a lot of money getting top sculptors and resources, hopefully they can turn that into something.

They're adding the pores to each headsculpt with a tiny little drill bit, it's quite a revolutionary process.

Definite deception...as evidenced by their message back in May that the figure is "shipping in July to allow distribution partners to serve collector's worldwide." Deceit is kind, that was a flat out lie. As if they were all nicely sealed in shipping boxes waiting to go...these guys deserve everything that has been thrown at them. Sorry.

Yeah I am pretty sure they lost 80% of the pre orders after the first "Proto" pics...

I am also pretty sure Pixel is 100 percent at fault for the thermonuclear bomb set off by NK....

I got my refund from PayPal; Molecule8 didn't even respond to multiple notification from PayPal.........was hoping they'll respond since they aren't responding on facebook

So, things are getting really bad with them. If they want to survive they have to say truth and deliver a product that will be outstanding. But I doubt it will happen. At best they will be like Star Ace - expensive and worse than HT, Blitzway and what Enterbay use to produce.

I have a feeling with all the refunds they either gave out or paypal is giving and then taking from/putting negative balances on m8's accounts that they will go under. I think they needed these funds to cover their costs and any new inflow of money via paypal will just offset the increasing negative paypal balance that will be growing (that is if paypal does not shut their account down for not responding to the paypal disputes). Don't be surprised if the company goes under. I am hoping they can turn it around and produce quality figures as more competition is better but they have been pretty damn shady so far with the blatant release date lies so do not be surprised if they go under.

Wonder why that guy that did the podcast Interview with the owner of Molecule8 doesn't do a follow up interview ..... surely if he was able promote the company to get pre-orders, he can get him back and see what the big wait is on this figure

If we do eventually see this released. I'll be interested in seeing what kind of skeleton goes inside of the body. I've said from the start that there was no way that they would use that endoskeleton even though they allude to it being used.

Always sounded to me like they were trying to make the product sound better and entice more buyers, even though we all knew it wasn't financially sound or practical.
