You're the most level headed collector I know. Very rarely have I seen you go off over a figure or anything for that matter. You have a Bob Ross demeanor...obviously that's a compliment.
Funny, but that had occurred to me. Maybe we are so used to being treated at arms length and overcharged that when a company comes along who just wants to make the best figure they can at a fair price, it arouses suspicion. Like a stray dog in those videos where someone adopts them and cleans them up and makes them healthy again.
We are the stray dogs snapping.

You may not be a fan but Asmus has been very transparent with the struggles an emerging company goes through in order to actually manufacture and distribute attempts at professional figures. It is not a snap your fingers, CGI turns to quality product even with the advances of 3D printing and modern manufacturing.
We definitely pay a premium for all of our figures but even if you look at smaller companies that turn out unlicensed products of quality (for example the VTS Fury Road Max which I like a lot) it is still within 2/3rds to 3/4's of the price of bare bones figures from the big guys. The are not developing custom bodies or technologies, nor are the including three separate tailored outfits with complex accessories.

I like they added a guitar but I don't know why they'd waste time creating such a detailed 3D model of the guitar (look at the strings!) when they can't possibly recreate that in 1/6 in real life.

So they make the first licensed Lennon 1/6 scale figure ever...planned to release it in May but held off to allow more distributors to get on board...on the last day of June they SUDDENLY realized from reading chat boards that collectors may actually want a scale guitar accessory with a figure of a guitar player and....delay the figure another month to add the guitar...I doubt anyone here would believe this if it was told to them face to face in real life and yet somehow this strange Internet company should be given the "wait and see" approach...?
