The paint rub problem exists early on with Mondo's First Turtle figure. That's why I had my doubts on these expensive 12" action figures (Note. not high end) and hoped that they will solve the problem.

Guess not.

Gotta say, he looks cool here

Despite its flaws, it's a great looking figure which really captures the comic look

Got mine, I am a little bit disappointed, seams on the mask, seams all around the head, swords were hard to get in. Legs were tight but now after posing him they are loose where the leg meets the body. Haven't checked for paint rubs yet but will. It does look really cool from a distance but up close its not so impressive. I'm not really sure if I am going to keep the rest of them. While I really would like to have all four of them together because they really do look pretty sweet when you aren't right up next to them and the scale is nice. They would be really cool in a group, just $150 a pop doesn't seem worth it after having it in hand.

^^ well apparently they were priced as a steal for consumers from what I'm told. I disagreed but oh well.

On a side note, I wonder if wrapping fabric around the sword handles would help with paint rub problems?

I don't see how you could get the handles in the hand and keep the fabric from moving
I'm going to keep the swords in his hands from here on out

If anyone is looking for an exclusive Leo I'll sell mine for cost in an unopened shipper.. preordered this and forgot about it, don't really have room to display him after all this time unfortunately.

At lest the paint rubbing on the sword makes it look like a weathered sword and gives off a slight comic look to it.

But yeah, many bad decisions on how they did these figures.

Will get the rest but more than likely, the Dreamex look to be the best and from the Shredder figure, they will be good quality.

I don't have mine yet, but the consensus seems to be that Leo is underwhelming and feels overpriced. It probably doesn't help that the preorders were such a pain in the abdomen, either, meaning that it's almost impossible for these to live up to the hype. Especially after such a long wait.

Yeah they seem to be underwhelming. In all honestly, I feel like they are the same quality as the Playmates 11" Battle Shell figures but are about $100 more expensive.

Here's the custom battle shell leonardo that I finished a while back. While I'm not saying my custom is better, I just feel as though the Mondo turtles are worth just about as much as this custom. Then again, maybe less.

This is all very interesting. I shot you a message as well. Let me know what you think. :goodpost:

I'm holding my judgement until I have it in hand. But from pictures and the video I've seen I'm still excited.

The price/value for me hasn't changed, I've always viewed it as over priced but was willing to pay it for this scale of the comic turtles
Agree on the delays and also would add necas tmnt line into the mix and its impact on the opinions of this fig

As much as I am underwhelmed with mine I've decided to keep them all, they do look pretty sweet when you aren't focusing on the seams and other issues. I love the original turtles and I like the scale of these. I just won't be buying anything else from Mondo again unless they can prove to me that they are going to make it worth it.
