WTF is with that whole right side of the logo? Looks like a paint job by a bad customizer! Mondo continues to disappoint in the paint department, these are very basic paint applications and for the money they are asking for these animated figures they need to be doing better! That’s unacceptable and if mine looks like that he’s going backView attachment 747480

My assumption is that most of these paint apps are essentially applied via a stencil, so maybe the stencil shifted during the paint application. Considering the curves of the torso, I can understand how the stencil could slide. I'm not sure how it would lock into place during the process.

If anyone has an extra one of these goblin masks (even one without the peg) they’d be looking to get rid of let me know!

Well I got my symbiote Spidey in, symbol on both sides is wonky but not as bad as some I’ve seen. Overall seeing how the red/blue version came out and now all these crappy symbiote Spidey logos I feel like I may be put off from this line. I was hoping this line would be a huge success and the lineup would go so deep that I’d have a Black Cat and Prowler figures on my shelf but these are the first two figures and they both….well……kinda suck. Fingers crossed for Venom.

Ask for a replacement. They have no issues replacing whatever part you have a problem with. Definitely an annoying aspect to their figures so far but they seem extremely willing to replace whatever ask for. They'll send you a complete replacement for the whole body there. No reason not to ask.

Venom definitely looks to be the best of the bunch from what I've seen on FB.

Someone explain to me the rationale behind the abstract shading. Yeah I know it's supposed to match the toon, but shading denotes shadows and light. It all seems kinda slapdash. The shading itself looks well done, but I cant for the life of me figure out the source of the shadows/light. There's no discernible direction for them. It all just feels kinda contrived. Know what I mean?

This is why I have stayed clear of Mondo... despite wanting their MOTU, X-Men and Spider-Man Animated figures
there is just WAY too much history of crappy quality control, figure build, shoddy paint and plastic to pay almost
Hot Toys prices for what are essentially giant Hasbro figures.

No way in hell these are worth what they are charging. Should be around $100.00 - $125.00 from the looks of them.

These were all rushed out of the factory, and seeing the ones "leaking oil" from the joints is all you need to know.
So glad I have stuck to my guns not buying their products.

I'm on the other side of this, haven't had hardly any QC with these (bought every Batman, X-Men, MOTU & Spider-Man release so far) and when an issue did arise Mondo fixed it free, generously, and faster than any toy company ive ever dealt with

Mondo as far as Customer Service sounds like they do a good job... though there should be no need to have all these
issues right out of the box... and things like the squeaky, creaky plastic, automatic paint chipping off joints and scuffing
as soon as you move the figures is unacceptable.

They are just overall cheaply made for a premium price.

On the same boat. Only had to ask for a replacement on 1-2 figures so far and they sent an entire replacement for the whole body no questions asked.

The quality control should be better but at least Mondo has zero hesitation or issue in sending a replacement or fix. They don't ask you to destroy or return the old parts either.

Their customer service is top notch with replacements and like you mentioned, you get to keep the “defective” figure for use with an alternate headsculpt, outfit or accessory.

True, Mondo figures are overpriced but they look beautiful and immediately pop on the shelf.

I hope Mondo improves the articulation (or lack thereof) in future figures but that might compromise the aesthetic look of the figures.
