Mondo: Spider-Man The Animated Series: Spider-Man

Arrived this past Tuesday. Some marks but overall? Better than Spidey in terms of quality.

I just don't get how they dropped the ball with the Red/Blue Spidey. Outside the weak ankles, the lack of accessories was befuddling. IT was such a great opportunity to overload us with Spiderman Masks and they didn't. Wanted a Romita, McFarlane, Bagley, Campbell...and gave us barely anything.

Spidey was probably their worst figure I have to say of all their Mondos 1/6 scale, perhaps outside their 1st couple of releases.

I enjoy it, but compared to Venom, Spidey was trash.

Yeah, I agree with your Spidey remarks. I have no idea what happened with him vs Venom.

Anyone have any idea when BBTS might start getting their Venoms in? I thought they would have by now.

Alerted them on Dec 30th, they responded and confirmed the new one on the 2nd of January. Shipped out on the 4th of this month and arrived on the 8th.

Mondo said I should be getting my replacement body for Spider-Man in April, so about a 3 month turnaround (originally informed them of QC issue on Jan. 22).

The Mondo customer service rep stated they have a “large shipment of freshly made bodies to be shipped to us from the factory… expected to arrive and ship in April.”

I’ll use the spare body to display the Peter Parker head sculpt and replacement for masked Spidey.

Hi all, long time creeper here, been reading through the forums for years but never felt like posting until today (was an anon creeper, only signed up today).

To anyone who, like me, had their Symbiote Spider-Man "ship" in December but there was no actual movement or the DHL tracking never updated. You should reach out to Mondo. You are probably NOT getting your figure.

Was told yesterday they don't have anymore, aren't getting anymore & won't be sending me my figure. The figure "shipped" in December was "lost in transit" & the replacement they put on order in January for me isn't happening.

Only reason I found out is because I asked for an update on my replacement as it was supposed to ship in Feb. The screenshot below was the response. (My OG Spidey & a D23 Uncanny Rogue was lost as well, though Rogue was replaced but Spidey was delayed)

Kind of a piss of seeing here that people are getting replacement bodies when others haven't gotten their fig nor will they, but hey that aint your guys fault, just luck of the draw I guess.

Anyway, only posting here as I've seen people mention they were in the same boat as me with the figure not arriving. If your one of them, please reach out to Mondo & get an update. Maybe you'll be lucky & still get your figure but if not they'll at least refund you. I don't think they track who does or doesn't receive their item or what orders actually did ship & not just tracking info, so if you don't reach out then nothing is going to happen.

That’s extremely bad luck to have 3 figures lost in such a short period of time.

I think I’ve only had one item lost in transit in all my years of collecting (Threezero Bumblebee with BBTS).

It sounds like in your case perhaps Mondo has various replacements parts for a Symbiote but not a fully boxed figure so they ended up canceling/refunding you since they could no longer offer you a complete figure.

My symbiote Spider-Man has minor QC issues but not bad enough for me to request a replacement - mainly nitpicky uneven white paint. The ankles are super loose too but I think all of Spider-Man bodies are like that so i don’t believe a replacement would resolve that issue - the Venom ankles are much better.
