Customs is worried about letting The Thing into the country I guess?
Do you know if it was tracked all the way or did it just decide to show up without more scans of movement?

Mine showed up yesterday. Finally. Well after any eagerness for this one evaporated.
The heads are fine. The accessories are fine. The clothes are bad. The body is bad. The box arrived dinged and damaged. At least the box graphics are nice. Maybe Mondo should specialize in graphics... Oh wait.

It was on hold yesterday and then I got email and text notice it was out for delivery this morning
I'm assuming tomorrow I'll have mine in hand.

I also noticed everything was double taped as well. Maybe from customs checking it..

If DHL customs opened it, the re-taping would be a bold yellow colour, with "Opened by DHL customs for inspection" printed all over the tape.
They have done this multiple times for me, and on 1 occasion, the tape SHOULD have read "Opened by a complete moron at DHL customs who has unwrapped every piece and thrown them back in the box minus bubble-wrap. Enjoy your completely smashed kit buildup which we will never reimburse you for".
Given these shipments are a 1:6 plastic figure, even DHL shouldn't be able to damage these! (I hope for you all).

Just received mine as well, and my god you guys were not kidding about that body. Heads need some slight repainting but are otherwise solid. Can't get a good read on the jacket yet until I get it on a better body.
And I can't believe I didn't see any complaints about this, but I'm really not a fan of the glittery silver strips they have in place of zippers. It makes him look like a freakin disco ball, so I'm definitely going to need to find a better flight suit somewhere.
Overall I can still see the potential after some modding, but it's still a pretty big step down after my unboxing of Inart Aragorn yesterday.

I honestly think this company was the wrong choice to grant these licenses to. They should have been a collaborator only, supplying the box art and not the figure. It just seems like a missed opportunity overall. I know neca doesn't do 12" figures anymore, and hardly any 18" ones either, but they should have.
Neca wouldn't give you any real clothes for him, as it would just be a scaled up Macready from the Ultimate 6" release.

I get that. Neca certainly has it's limitations as well (I'm still sore they never released their 12" Stuntman Mike all those years ago; pre-order money wasted). I digress.
The clothes on this one are just so out of date and poorly tailored, that there's just no use for them. I tried the jacket on another body just to see, and it still doesn't work. This is 2009 era Matty Collector quality. I can already tell the material itself won't last. I'll scavenge the viable parts and heads and use top to bottom different clothing if this one gets displayed. I already started modding another DiD A-2 jacket. For anyone looking for an excellent quality flightsuit, the DiD one from their Top Gun Maverick figure can't be beat.

Agreed. I think most of the third party companies would do a better job. Everything I got in recent years from third party looks superior imo. I canceled my preorder after I saw in hand pics and somehow feel sad about that as it’s one of my favorite movies.
