That is still one kick ass statue. I cancelled for now, but i will have no problems picking this up in the future. The red is bothersome to me to be honest, but I can work with it and weather it myself... or someone that has skill in doing so... :peace

i'm keeping mine as well. red tunic or not that is one bad arse statue and with the helmet on he looks sick.

Red on a Orc is lame..

Are you embarressed now.. Sideshow?? :monkey4

Oh that's right, you don't really give a doodie! :duh

Naysayer, RED Rules!

I have little doubt that the pictures being shown on this site are accurate, and therefore I have decided to cancel all of my Sideshow orders. Call it an overreaction if you want, but I have lost faith in Sideshow being able to deliver what they show on the website. I don't expect the final product to be exactly like the prototype, but the Orc doesn't even feel close to me.

This was my most anticipated Sideshow release ever, I fully expected it to rival Lurtz in my collection, the sculpting looks absolutely perfect. Had Sideshow delivered on what they are CURRENTLY advertising I would have been ecstatic. Instead, they have lost a customer who had spend thousands of dollars on their products.

Had Sideshow responded or updated the website to let buyers know before shipping, I might have felt differently.

It is here!
It is not as red as seen in the posted photos. It is maroon. Not fully weathered as mentioned. will be back soon with photo!

Great to hear, I know you were nervous about this one (and somewhat negative about the perceived red) -- nice to hear your honest opinion.

I am cancelling everything just because you did. I am also no longer going to gas up my truck. I am never going to eat or sleep and never shower again. This is just so upsetting I don't know what to do. :dunno

Cancelling every order? Perhaps their CS is rejoicing that they don't have to deal with such hysterical collectors?

:naughty

I'm sure they're so glad that all the hysterical collectors passed on Sam and Frodo after the Faramir fiasco.

Guys we can go back and forth till the cows come home on the whole

"It's not as red." OR "It's redder then I thought..."

It doesn't matter. We have people coming from both arguments. Bottom line it's not the same as we pre-ordered.

Hey, if your happy with what you get, more power to you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I canceled. To me it's not what I pre-ordered and I wouldn't be happy with it (I already settled once when they changed Aragorn). And, I'm not gonna get one and try to convince myself otherwise. Like I am sure some of us will do.

:peace out.

Recieved an e-mail from Sideshow today telling me that the red is not as bright as the pic's posted here and if i'm not happy they will galdly accept it back with NO charge. I'm keeping mine as I love the statue. I did'nt see this sort of hysteria when Anakin shipped with that crappy paint job on his bonce and nasty looking robe.
As I said before....this is a easy fix, even though you should'nt have to, I don't mind having a bash at it and I'll have another great looking Orc from my favourite trilogy.End of.

I have a question ..... if I was able to keep my order ( I cancelled only due to $$ issues, not cause of the red) Id have no problem weathering the area myself. But how is the value effected by a personal alteration?

In the past, Ive always seen touched up pieces resell at a lower value, even if it makes the piece look much better only cause its no longer true to the factory shipped version ....

Ok, here is a photo. I tried to adjust it to match what it looks like in person.
