I wonder if they are going to be doing something about the material and that's why I haven't been invoiced for it yet? One can hope.

Doubtful, all the Exc that were supposed to be processed this week haven't been yet.

don't know what they really could do..they just said that the pics shown on here are really bad and it's not that bright..more of a maroon..:huh..I'm sooo glad I swiched this to flex. at least I have time to see more in hand pics. don't think I can go through with it if these pics so far are spot on..:monkey2

I'm just amazed that SS didn't update the page with production photos like they do everything else. Unless they knew there was a big variation and just wanted to get it out to people and make them return it.

does make you wonder..it can't be that hard to do an update..

I inquired about a free return due to the difference in the final product and this was in the return email.

"Sideshow will gladly cover the cost to return an item if that item arrives in damaged condition. However, in the event an item arrives without damage, the customer is responsible for the cost to return the item.

Often our pre-production samples as pictured on our website will differ from our post-production pieces. Please know our production team strives to keep the actual product as close to the pre-production sample as possible, however, the item originally pictured on the website is still a prototype and meant to provide a general concept of the piece. Please know we mark all photos of a prototype as such. Therefore, by purchasing this item with only a photo of the prototype available, you have agreed to risk the possible differences to inspect the piece yourself."

That last line really gets me. Do you have better luck with someone on the phone?

They don't always update the pics. Case in point, Balrog LSB still has prototype pics up.

Most companies post that and it's understandable that it may not be exact, but it makes you wonder; they could send you an orc with a mickey mouse head and they could say we tried to get it as close to the proto as possible. But hey things happen. If you don't like it you pay to send it back.

Based on that information, it looks like Sideshow is not responsible for the shipping fee if decided you don't like it. I think Sideshow should update their picture to avoid angry customers.

How difficult is it to take recent pictures of it?

nope...you will have to pay the shipping for it both ways..

though if you talk to them a manager might be able to split the cost.

they told me they will be updating the pics soon..

I guess they are having a meeting on how to deal with customers who want to return the Moria Orc :rotfl

Sideshow's Customer Service representatives will be unavailable by phone from 12:00 PM through 2:30 PM (Pacific Time) today, Wednesday, December 17th.

This looks more and more like the Grinch everytime i see new pictures, i'm so glad i canceld. Maybe in future sideshow will stop putting up the prices and cutting costs which in turn we suffer and they benefit..
