Super Freak
See, as much as I would've liked that, I think I would've been bored by the time they get back to the mansion and have to go through the whole thing again, with the movie turning from horror to SciFi with the introduction of the hunters, giant moth, etc...
Not necessarily following the games story completely but just along the same lines. The first zombie you come across in that game ( if I'm remembering correctly , this is years ago now ) is eating a guy after you walk through a door and turns around slowly. That one game cut scene had more going for it in than all the resident evil films rolled into one imo.
Whilst they're watchable it feels like the transporter with zombies to me.
The first game or the fourth would make great films if done correctly I think . It seems to me there is some unwritten rule that if you're making a video game movie it has to be completely action packed but I think when transfering something from a game to film certain things , maybe even the overall feel has to be changed in order for it to be a solid movie.
Think the Shining book and then the film , many things were changed although in most peoples opinions for the better. The same goes for a lot of book to films , I think the same thing usually has to be applied with game to films.
If there are several spelling mistakes there I've not slept for hours ( again ).
