Kongrats. I just got my moto droid back in March, but I really want the X now and my girlfiend is eligible for an upgrade right now and shes gonna let me use hers to pick up the X. Just not 100% sure about it yet.......Hmmmmmm.

I love my X, but I'd at least wait until Thursday of this week and mess around with the Fascinate before you decide on the X. I'm glad my wife wanted it because I'll have both to play around with now.

I really want it for the screen size. Theres nothing wrong with my droid I have now, I just want the X cause its bigger. The Fascinate is faster though from what I have read.

Well the screen size is only .3 smaller on the Fascinate so you really aren't losing much. To be honest the Fascinate feels exactly like a bigger Iphone to me. The AMOLED screen was gorgeous on it and overall it felt smoother than my X. The performance was marginally quicker. I'm talking milliseconds. I still love my X, but I will say that had the Fascinate been out I'm not 100% which one I would have picked so I'm glad my wife picked it so we can have both.

Trouble is, I'll be at work all day and I have to go out of town to get it on the release date. If I can't pre-order it, I'm probably screwed.

call them & tell them that you wanna upgrade but you want an R2-D2 & that you don't know if you'll be at home when it's up for order. have verizon call you on the 30th and see if you can do an over the phone order. that's what I did

Waiting until next year for my upgrade and to see what these "better" phones are like.

I like the X for it's size but other then that haven't messed with it much.

The catch is that you need to be a new customer to the attached carrier (in the case of my examples above, that would be Verizon).

edit: I guess you're trying to say that the X is better? I've got an X already but she liked the Fascinate better. That comparison is horrible in that link though. It's wrong in a lot of categories.
