I haven't read through this whole thread, so pardon me if this was brought up, but I was actually reading the fine print in a DROID TV commercial the other day (since I had seen it so many freakin' times!) and noticed that DROID is a trademark of Lucasfilm!!! :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

I wonder what Motorola had to pay to use the name???

How much money does the man need?

Here's one problem I am having and maybe someone here can help me. My phone keeps loading my old emails. I'll delete them (they are not even on my email account anymore) but it will load them again - plus I'm getting blank messages from 1969! I wasn't even born then! :lol I know there is a button to load more messages - but I don't click on it.
It has become a little frustrating seeing deleted messages reloading 5 or 6 times. Is there something I can do to get this to stop?

I did a Google search. Here's a thread about old emails coming back. Maybe there's something there worth reading.

Is it a Comcast email account?

Thanks for the link. :) I'll give it a read.

I really hope my phone is not posessed. :horror :lol

Ok, my phone contract is eligible (whatever that means) next month and I am thinking about pulling the trigger on the Droid. I don't give a ____ about social networking crap but I want me some apps. I want to ____ around with a phone that is the closest thing to an iPhone that takes solid pictures. Anyone have any suggestions on which model to get? Thanks for your input guys/gals.

Dont know anything about the new Incredible, but I have the Driod and it is the shat. Its a laptop in my pocket. Takes solid still shots and amazing video. Its as good as and ipod. Has turn by turn navigation. A crap load of useful and unuseful, but equally cool apps. I cant recommend it enough. So far I have not found one thing I dont like about it.

Ok. Some chick at Best Buy said there were 5 models on the market. But she was just some ******** at Best Buy. :lol

Yeah, but for Verizon there is only the Driod and the Droid Incredible.

The others are just smartphones.

There's several phones available now that have Android installed.

I recently upgraded (finally after years of a crappy old phone) and got the Droid Incredible

Basically, the main difference between the Droid and the Incredible is that the Incredible has a better camera and is faster (faster processor, more RAM). Really at this point the only reason to get the Droid is if you want the slide-out keyboard. But I find the on-screen keyboard to work just fine so I don't care about that.

There's also supposed to be two new Android phones from Motorolla coming soon (Droid 2) so maybe wait and see what's there.

Slide out keyboard on the Droid is big time kahkah, you have to have fingers the size of a ten year old girl to use it. The touch screen keyboard is perfect, never ever use the slide out.

If the Incredible is faster I would pick that one up.

Got to agree the keyboard is kahkah. My old phone had a great keyboard, which is why I got it with the Droid - but the screen keyboard is so much easier to use. With the slide out keyboard, they made the buttons too flat. Total fail there. :lol

Its an excellent phone, I have had zero issues with it.

I would check out the Incredible since it is the newest out there.
