I'm going with the incredible, the Evo, or the new iphone. Waits patiently for the big announcement on Monday.

I'd check them both out at a Verizon store.
I gave the incredible a run through at the mall one day and wasn't really impressed. it has a very light and plastic feeling. I'm sure some like that but I actually prefer the heft of my org. Droid. the one thing about the first Droid is you can slide out the keyboard and get a full screen view of the site you're on when typing something with the virtual keyboard. (like this forum) the "D" pad also comes in handy.

Using the Incredible with just the on-screen keyboard I haven't ever had a problem with not being able to see the website as I type. If you want to look back at the page it's as easy as hitting the keyboard button and it'll hide it again.

The speed thing is important too, especially when they upgrade to the new version of Android which will have Flash support.

I was thinking of going with the Incredible over the Droid. But after playing with the Evo, it became apparent that if you want an Android phone it's Evo or GTFO.

But if you need Verizon, no Evo for you. :(

Did you pick up the evo?

Not yet. They were long sold out, plus I'm still waiting to see what Apple has to say tomorrow. I am on "the list" though, so whenever more stock comes in, the Evo is mine if I want it.

Yeah I am going to wait too. However, I think unless apple pulls off some crazy shat tomorrow I will be the owner of an Evo in a week or two. Had to fill up the new house with groceries and I'm glad I waited! :lol:gah:

The choice is really between the Droid and the Incredible. I'd never switch to Sprint.

I just watched CNET's review of the EVO and it looks like a really nice phone. I still don't think I would ever go back to sprint but hey...

It does give me a good idea of how great the org. Droid will be in the future. these "phones" are crazy now and to think what will be available in a year and a half when I upgrade is....:thud:

Music Wizard, Music Junk and MP3 Download are excellent music apps on the Droid.

Just an FYI incase anyone doesnt have them :)

What was wrong with sprint? Just curious. Did they have bad service?

Anyone else got some Droid apps to share?

:tap

For golfers:

'How far am I?" - GPS rangefinder. Has all of my local courses loaded in. My new crutch.

For gamers:

1337pwn.com Xbox Live Friends List - Basically your Live friends list updated in pretty much real time, so you can see who is on and what they are playing.

I didn't have a "smart" phone when I had them. the actual phone sevice was good. it was their customer service that was horrible.

It all started when I got my first upgrade after two years, would get told one thing only to have another thing happen. everyone I would talk to would contradict what the person before them said. transfered from one person to another...etc..:gah:

Fom my experience with them all their people are on different pages. seems they have alot of fuzzy policies. like I said, their fine as long as you don't have a problem. that's when you find out how a company is.

I use the Yelp app all the time, I've found a lot of great places to eat.

Kayak is great for finding deals on flights and hotels

The movies app does a bunch of things. I use it for looking up showtimes, buying tickets, and updating my Netflix queue.

Spark lets me check up on my Xbox Live account and friends.

The DROID kicks ass. I was able to stay with Verizon and don't regret not buying an iphone.

I just took the EVO for a test ride at the Sprint store BM. that thing is huge. (*waits for it*)

I'm used to the Android OS now so that made it alot easier to go through the motions. it's pretty quick, fater then the Droid in most cases. uploaded Youtube faster and into the larger screen automatically but... the picture looked very pixelated compaired to the Droid. maybe I missed something that would make it look better. granted the screen is larger, but at least on that note I wasn't impressed. other then that I liked it. if Sprint had it available when I switched I might have stayed. I really liked the size of the screen, that was a BIG plus. you're in a tough position as far as choices but I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever phone you get.
