I reexamined the sculpt its the same as medicom supermans(like darklord dave said).... BUT the eyebrows and the hair are different...

thats why it looks so much more like routh... superman had an angry expression...
check this out..

Washed out pics of the HT fig make it hard to totally see the sculpt at what i think would be its best, but even so in comparison... i gotta go with hot toys, it looks more like routh to me, just like their superman:

THe medi's nose is a bit too big, chins a bit too pointy.

Yep mag, the HT sculpt IS different although the jawline and hair seem almost identical. HT has a more accurate cleft chin, and if not for the right eyebrow paint aps (too high over eyebrow line) it would look even better, hope I get a better paint job. The Med suit just doesn't do it for me except for a better shirt collar, seems lame by Med standards, really... The HT eyeglass frames are also a bit thicker although both look really good.

I still don't think it looks that great from from the front, but at this angle it's the closest I've seen any of the sculpts come to looking like Routh.

Looks like I'll have an HT Superman to display with Clark, I was just cruising Toy Square's site and was shocked to see Superman in stock. It immediately went out of stock when I added it to my cart, so I guess I got there just in time.

Another $170 down the crapper.

I gotta quit this hobby.

Some things are just "must haves" this is one of them. Once you open him up and display him with that body and suit you won't believe how happy you'll be you actually have him...

Since I had Clark on order I was kinda regretting having passed on Supes, and then boom, there he was in stock. I was shocked to find him this late in the game. Right after the holidays isn't the best time to be dropping this kind of cash on dolls, but I guess you only live once, right?

I hope the Superman head that comes with Clark will work on the Superman figure, I assume it will. That was really my biggest problem with him and the new head looks much better to me.

It should fit no problem on the HT body...

Congrats on getting the HT Supes. The Hot Toys set is gonna be insane.

I never considered doing a headswap with the new Supes head to the old Supes head. I like the new one better as well....hmmmm...

Thanks snake, looks like another repaint for me but everything else looks good, body, suit, detail, accessories... sculpt is definitely there IMO.
