Just found this thread---I have the special release Star Wars movie posters and The Grinch that are still rolled up that I got from QVC back in the day, if anyones wants these --PM me and we can work something out.

They carry a frame at 27x41. Really nice one too. It's regularly $69.99 (although frames are an additional 40% off until March 5th). You would just need to remove the collage matting.

Picked up a Trendsetter 27x40 frame for $25. Needed to add a wire backing to hold it up. Set it up a little while ago with that Iron Man poster. Looks pretty nice for the price. That brick and mortar frame shop in the next town was absolutely ridiculous for prices. They were quoting anywhere from $169 to $319.

Is the standard 27x40 or 27x41 ?

Welcome to the party pal ! :hi5:

It was late 80's when they made the shift from 41 down to 40. Seems like it was about the same time when the NSS stopped printing them completely as well, although don't hold me to that.

Okay, I have a question for you - if you could have one Rocketeer poster, which would it be, the teaser:

A70-9484

Or the first release:

1991-the-rocketeer-poster1.jpg

Obviously, the teaser just says summer 1991 at the bottom, while the later release has credits...decisions, decisions...

in terms of colors are they the same? the teaser has a bright color, unless that's just due to the scanning. I like the later release myself.

Also, I got the teaser poster for IM2 for $28 shipped on ebay. I was surprised to see this since most of the teaser posters are going for $60+

Yea, you can't depend on color in online scans like that. They're identical as far as I know.

I'm leaning toward the teaser so far.

Hmmm. Tough decision Mike. I like the final a little bit more than the teaser. Don't think you could go wrong either way though.

I have the teaser and it seems thicker than a standard one sheet. Not doublesided and I don't think they made any that way. I'd probably prefer the release one though.

Interesting - all the ones I've seen are ds, both teaser and regular. I assume that means they were Originally done that way as well - wouldn't make much sense to do as ds reprint of a poster that was only released ss to begin with.

Hey everyone! I got a few movie posters throughout the years, but these are the three currently hanging on my wall now. Don't have too many posters cause I need to inhibit my buying habits now. :lol
I already buy enough Blu-rays every week or so.:gah::rotfl
