I've dealt with Bradburied with no problems in the past - I'd imagine that the size is just from a template and he forgot to change it.

I actually have both these posters buried somewhere. If I remember correctly neither of them have a white border? Also IIRC, borderless posters were almost always 27x40.

I'll try and dig them out this weekend and measure.

No, there were full bleed 27x41 posters - in fact, I was just putting away my Young Sherlock Holmes this weekend that has no white border but is the full 41" tall.

I love the artwork on the internationals, Loomis - we need to get back to more artwork, less photoshop.

BTW, I finally snagged an Captain America for $15.

This guy is movieposterarena, but keep your eyes peeled, as it looks like supply is starting to outweigh demand on this one.

I have a couple of movie posters ranging from awesome condition to a pinhole in each corner... if anyone is interested LMK. Would like to give them to a good home.

- Indiana Jones Last Crusade
- Star Trek (JJ Abrams) Captain Kirk
- The Dark Knight (with the batpod)
- X-Men 2
- Quantum of Solace
- Pirates Caribbean 1

Got my Pirates poster from DMR, and it was a little crinkled on the top right edge. They should really pad the ends. No biggie though it will flatten out in the frame.

Just picked up:

ET
In the mouth of madness
Rambo II
Mars Attacks

Just missed out on a few others. This will be the first time I got posters off of emovieposter.com's auctions. This may turn into my new favorite site. :monkey3

I just noticed that if you go over to my site, that there's a google ad popping up a lot for an additional 20% at Michaels. It includes sale items, so you can use it on the poster frames when they are 40% off. I printed one off and it's good til Sunday, so I figure I'll head over this week and see if they're on sale. Just refresh the site a couple times if it doesn't come up the first time - it's the google banner at the bottom:

Usually prefer Euro art than US art back then.....there are some exceptions though (I'm looking at *you* , TX Chainsaw Massacre US 1sh....he he)

The guy who did TCM US , did he do Lady Kung Fu US also....seems similar art style ?

Euro art for posters back then was quite a bit more racy then US posters, which is part of the appeal. I know for a lot of older posters, especially the horror stuff from the 50's to 80's, the euro posters are much more exciting to own.

TCM US VHS 1sh is much rarer than the cinema 1sh......

Cannon studios printed some 1shs for Spiderman , the movie never was to be......must be worth a nice mint these days.

Continuing on my 80's kick, I picked up Karate Kid, Back to School, Cat's Eye, Money Pit, and my fav of the five, The Three Amigos, all rolled. Now back to the Struzen/Amsel kick for my next purchase...

Mr Miyagi is just as important to the 80s as A-Ha , Madonna , WWF etc....imho. I was VERY sad when he died.

I got the whole damn set of French lobbys.....wow (was banned until 82 there....warning , here be spoilers)

1982 Ita Ninja Strikes Back billboard (partial Country of Origin since its Italy printed) , stars imitator Bruce Le (Le made some crap films but this is actually cool , guilty pleasure kinda way)

One of Les last films.

The locandina/2shs are in them self uncommon but this billboard.....extremely rare , esp in this good shape (most of em were prolly brutally tumb tacked/taped , or worse torn apart....common with Italys posters)

aka Bruce Lee strikes again (Italy/French/German title)......Linda and Chow werent too thrilled with these imitator flicks :monkey1

Couple newer titles arrived yesterday. Mr. Popper's Penguins (has anyone seen a preview for this flick yet?), Super 8, Dylan Dog. Also got a very clean rolled The Mangler, poor movie, neat poster, and a very clean, rolled Dragnet. Picked those two up cheap.

Just ordered 23 sheets from a regular dealer I work with, all Struzan art. Big order, but I can't wait to get my hands on them...a couple are going to be permanently on the wall.

Got "The Army of Darkness" today. I had a 24x36 french version. But today I got the 27x40 of the "trapped in time" version. Ends were a little crinkled but, nothing the frame didn't hide.

Sad news is. I exchanged it for the Temple of Doom poster. (Since frame space is limited) And I poked a hole along the edge of the TOD poster.

Oh well..
