I just got my first quarterly bonus at my new job - 6+K!

So I splurged and just bought the Studio Scale Millenium Falcon.

I'm still dazed.

I'll post pics when it arrives :)

Man I wish I could afford that one right now. I will one day, but for now I am conquering GG stuff little by little.

That's ridiculous!!!!!!!

But very cool at the same time.

I bow to you my man. I wouldn't have had the balls (and if I had I definitely wouldn't have had once the wife found out...)

Yeah, I jealous as well!!! I used to be really jealous of my brother's yearly bonus... he got a little less than 1/3 of his yearly salary as a year-end bonus if they hit all their numbers, which they did every year! It worked out to over 20K each year... of course, the IRS took most of it!!!

Yeah the IRS is not friendly when it comes time for a bonus or even overtime. Sad really. The government takes so much money. :(
oh
my heart bleeds for all you people in the us , just come over to the uk for a while and then you will see what the cost of living is like , epecially for a sideshow collector.

Sorry man, I know it's rough over there for collectors. How is the cost of living over there comparatively?

EDIT: dont know where my head was.

Costs of living is high compared to the States and we pay about 23% of our wage in tax.

Then again, we have a free health service so we can't really complain.

The average sideshow figure retails for £35.00 over here (that's about $70.00).

Nice bonus indeed. We get our quarterly nickel bonus next month. Should be somewhere around 8 or 9K but after the man gets his hands on it, I'll only see a little over half of it.

Excellent purchase. Maybe someday down the road I'll pick one up.

Whilst it's true we pay more for stuff in the UK, we're really all very lucky to be able to afford this stuff in the first place.

I know that sounds a little preachy, but we should really consider how lucky we are financially compared to some.

Particularly that dude with a 6k bonus!!!:lol

Seriously though, I hope you enjoy your Falcon and for god's sake get that thing insured as soon as you get it.

Seriously, a 6k bonus. Do you mind me asking what you do? I am just curious. Thanks.

Congrats on the purchase.

I work for a company that makes "incentivized" ads - managing a group of designers. Our bonus is based on fulfilling a set quota of revenue. We get a set quarterly bonus of something like 4K. So if we hit 100% of our quota (technically - it's the Sales Group's quota, but we make the ads for them) - then I get the whole 4K. Hit 50% of the quota and get only 2k, etc.

The good part is - if I help them hit 150% of the revenue quota - I get the extra 2K on top of the standard 4K.

This past quarter - we hit 300+% of our quota :chew :chew :chew

Really cool pick up Tin. And pics when you get. Love looking at the Falcon.
