My first attempt at a custom...Subject: Jack Sparrow

Alright, since my dog chewed my Sparrow gun I have been less afraid to alter Jack to my liking. I haven't done much because this is my first go at customizing anything. I am open to any comments or suggestions so feel free to leave them.

What I have done is made him the dirty, rotten pirate he ought to be.

Dirty Pirate fingers.

Nasty tattered pirate sash.

"...and I half expected it to be made of wood."

Considering that's your first custom, that is not bad at all. Good for a first in my book. Something you may want to consider is some weathering. Maybe give his face a dirtier look, too. Good stuff though man. Keep it up.

Yeah, I didn't want to mess with the face too much but I did add that red mark on the side. The hat and accessories I weathered a bit (or at least I tried to). You should of seen the hat out of the box, it was just one constant color.

Well thank YOU, my friend... for finding inspiration in mine! It makes me feel good to know that my work is important to others besides just myself.

Oh and a good tip, just to help you out on Jack's "effects"...

Mix up a good brownish grey and drybrush that on his belts and "leather" items. It will really give it a more worn look, like in the film. Same goes for the boots. It works wonders.
