I remember the exclusive spiderman PF and exclusive woverine comiquettes were selling below retail for a while when they first hit the market but that was before marvel started to really take off so we will see. But I think the ES is way to high they should of went lower on the Ex. It will take a while for this one to increase after its released.

What Is Funny With Sideshow Is That They Put An Ex Es Of 500 On A Major Player Like Thor And 800 For Mystique...its Like They Deliberately Want Certain Pieces To Get Automatic After Market Value....thor Will Obviously Fetch A Lot With A Small Es Like That And His Popularity...MYSTIQUE..NOT SO MUCH..

I see your logic and have to agree... I mean, why else give such a big character that sold out immediately a small ES vs. a secondary character a much larger run that took a day to sell out entirely.

The ES means like Shai said that the Ex will be available for a long time after release. I'm glad I didn't order and can wait it out to see in hand pics.

Oh well, it was either her or the Hell Boy II PF with the HB II PF getting the lead. That, and I got it cheaper with value points, and now with this information it seems like a definite no brainer which road to take.

Myself and others have predicted Thor PF Ex as a practically guaranteed future grail. ES shananigans such as this is the reason why.

Okay, so Mystique's exclusive item is a belt. A BELT. If you are Sideshow, you know that when push comes to shove, people will cancel if the ES on the exclusive is too high because the exclusive item is not essential. These are outside the AH! comiquette price range so you also have to factor that in. It's easier to pick up an AH! release than one of these PFs.

Now, if the Moria Orc PF Ex was 800 ES I would not be surprised since the exclusive adds a whole other dimension to the piece. The belt on this figure most people could do without.

800 ES - let's say 500 cancel/EBAY and 300 keep them. This high ES is going to ruin the value of this piece. And the EX is just a belt that most people didn't recognize as being an EX piece LOL. It's easy to spot the next Dr. Doom...and this is not one of them.

Aside from the obvious Thor PF EX at 500 ES, right now I would say the Hellboy 2 PF Ex is a candidate for being the next big PF: comics connection, cult following, movie connection, two 1:1 props to support the weapons featured, the design allows for great displayability on a high shelf or on top of the cabinet....it has a lot going for it. Most importantly, the exclusive actually is very relevant to the character and the clips we have seen from the movie.

I have to agree with you on that...Hellboy 2 PF EX has a WOW factor with the big baby. With only 650 ES, that baby will RISE in price on day 1 release in the aftermarket. It's obvious for any collector or fan, the EX is a must-have. Why bother even with the regular version? If you're going to buy the Hellboy 2 PF, then the EX is the only path to go...no if or but...

I got my EX order in too. I don't think it will reach Capt. Amer. EX or Thor EX. status, but who knows with these things nowadays. The statue overall looks pretty darn impressive. Its interesting Sideshow chose Mystique as their next PF.
