After seeing that face I may have to send this back, that is one ugly face, damn.

I know Sideshow dosen't respond to these boards much but in this case a little constructive criticism could have stopped that face from being put on this sculpt. In a very tight economy this piece needs all the help it can get.

Hey, let's wait until someone actually get's theirs and post pics of something that is not the prototype. You never know.

I will be getting mine soon. I have to admit, the face on the proto looks a bit unfinished to say the least. But I will stick with my Exc and see what comes out of this one.

Yeah talk about under performing. All the sculpts you listed are not doing well and are now up for second chance and its sad to have your product up for 2nd and 3rd chance when it should sellout the first time. Mystique, The Thing, Blade and even Abomination will not do well I'm afraid to say. Even Dare Devil vs Punisher may not do well because Dare Devil vs Punish is not a match up easily regonized. I would have done Dare Devil vs. Bullseye instead but Sideshow does not seek too many opinions and sometime a little criticism can go a long way. I hope Namor looks better than what I've seen so far but right now I have a raised eyebrow.

This looks nothing like the piece I ordered. His teeth look like baked beans. I was so excited about this piece and now I'm totally bummed. This was a great idea; I loved the character chosen, the pose, the trident, the base AND the face.

Now...Damn.

If he arrives looking THAT bad I'll be sending mine back. Have any of you sent anything back to Sideshow for a refund? Supposedly, we have 30 days right?

Why couldn't they have smoothed out the face and fixed the damn teeth? That "sample" looks like it has an amateur custom head made out sculpy and cheap paint.

You are right on point. If the face is that bad its going back and it will be the first time I sent something back to Sideshow. Too bad they don't let collectors criticize these sculpts before they come out. They could save a ton of money of shipping cost from people resending stuff back.

It was a "marvel sample"...

I don't know what this means but I hope it means Marvel got the bad one and we'll be getting the one that looks like the pics we ordered from.

I realize these photos were taken at different angles but is it possible there was camera lens/glass distortion on the one taken in the display case? The face looks so much longer. Still not sure what's up with the discoloring on the teeth/gums.

yeah, definately more wrinkles. as for the teeth, it could be just lighting. would they really make a piece with tooth decay.

Could that other piece be recasted knockoff? The sculpt from the web site looks a lot better. I hope this is not a final production piece.

Agreed, Namor is supposed to handsome of enough to make Susan Richards think twice about Reed but this face is ugly like sin.
