Has sideshow said anything? This is sad! It doesn't look anything like the prototype. What the hell is going on? It's looks like a bad knock off from China.

--Just got off chat with SSC, checking on their return policy. I want to hold judgement until I see it in hand. Really hoping its better than the pics we've seen so far...
SSC is saying they've not heard from customers regarding issues with this piece. My chat is below:
me: What is the policy for returns if not satisfied with an order?
Just a moment...
Sideshow Elisse: Hello!
me: Hi Elisse, how are you today?
Sideshow Elisse: We have a 30-day return policy, where we are able to refund the product price of the piece. In the event that the customer is not satisfied.
me: Does that cover the item being opened to inspect the item? I only ask because a lot of images have been surfacing for a figure that ships out soon and there is a stark difference between what is shown on the item's page and what people are getting.
Sideshow Elisse: Absolutely.
me: Alright, I appreciate that Elisse. Would I incur any form of a restocking fee if the item was opened?
Sideshow Elisse: There is no re-stocking fee for the item.
me: Alright, have there been a lot of inquiries about the Nathan Drake Uncharted figure? That is the one i've been asking about.
Sideshow Elisse: We offer a product price refund if you are not satisified with the piece, if you are within your 30-days
We have not received information in regards to the piece or customers mentioning any differences
me: Alright, I know of many people who've cancelled their orders due to the change of the headsculpt. I plan to reserve my judgement until I have it in hand. Thanks again for the information Elisse.
Sideshow Elisse: You're welcome!
Have a great day!
Thank you for contacting us.

This is bull Sh(** because I talked to her this morning and I explain that the uncharted figure was not right.
me: Hi, im a little worried because I've seen a couple of pictures of the nathan drake figure from uncharted and it doesn't look like the prototype at all, the head looks bigger and the paint look way bad. The thing that worries me is that I have pre ordered the snake plissken figure because im a huge fan and im planning on pre ordering the Han Solo Hoth figure and I will be crushed if it turns out the same
Sideshow Elisse: Hello!
If you are not satisified with any piece you receive from Sideshow, you are able to return the piece within your 30 days of the item shipping out.
We have a 30-day return policy, in which we are able to refund your payment on the piece.
Please also be advised that the items will differ from the actual prototype since these pieces are hand crafted and hand painted

PLEASE BE ADVISED MY $$$ WON'T BE YOURS...
Wow, time to rename the site to Hot Freaks. Seems like Hot Toys cares about figure quality.
You know, I think It looks they gave us a whole new sculpt. Sculpted hair doesn't look the same.
Im new to this hobby and I gotta ask... does this happen often!? By the reactions on this thread it doesn't seem to be the case, but still, I'm curious.
Got my charging soon notice, and now my finger is hovering over the cancel button....UGH. decisions decisions.

Elisse is doing her job as she has been instructed/trained by Sideshow.
They're not going to issue a mea culpa let alone acknowledge there is a problem. Remember all those cancellations for the Rouge PF figure from a few years ago due to the cross eyed paint scheme? IIRC, they never admitted any issue with it.
If you look, there is a seam all around the hairline. I think the sculpt was modified to fit those glass/plastic eyes.
Sideshow figures are pretty hit and miss. Lately they've shown improvement with their Harley Quinn and Baroness releases, but this figure looks to be like what we are accustomed to from SSC.
That's a bummer, cause like others I have Snake Plisken on pre-order and I REALLY want that one to look as good a the prototype on the site!
I did the same hover yesterday. I hit the button though. I still feel bummed that I canceled because I really want a 1/6 Drake in my collection. This sculpt though...
Trevor confirmed that man, he said it is his; but they modified the sculpt. This is what they did:
They molded Trevors, used probably hydrospan 100 grow cast (water to grow it), molded it again and casted. Then cut the seem around hair fixed eyes for sockets. Them took the 2 halves and molded it and used hydrospan 400 shrink cast (water to shrink it) and that's why it's distorted. Even Denny said when Q did recasts of Cowboy it causes the sculpt to distort cause it's not original.
