solid win over denver last night. i was impressed.

wow what happened to the lakers tonight? I turn the channel after the 3rd Q thinking that they have it for sure and I find out they get rolled.

chachacha-chauncy bibibi-billups!

i'm starting to really question melo's toughness. a twisted ankle should not keep you out for 2.5 weeks.

Melo is good, but not tough.. Mr. Big Shot was unbelievable last night..

In portland tonight.. Gives me flashbacks of seeing Oden's p e n i s and we never win there.. :crying

after watching that game, i think Denver should defn be able to beat the Lakers this year. I mean seriously, give up over 120 points when the other team is down their best player, its not even just that though, the Lakers played really hard and tough most of the game, but in the end, just diminished.

Denver and the Cavs are prolly the only two teams that i am confident could be the Lakers in the playoffs, Boston just seems to have way too many issues and their defense is good, but worse than when they won the title, should be interesting, cant wait for the playoffs already. I didnt think Shaq would have made such a difference for the Cavs cause he didnt work well in Phoenix.

Denver won't beat us... 3-22 at our house over the last 25.. Home court advantage will be ours..

I don't think Shaq is making "that" much of a doifference either.. He makes them deeper at big man, which is important.. However he joined a team that allready had the leagues best record the season prior..

yeah but they really hit the wall hard when they went against Orlando, and I dont remember them playing too well against LA last year in the regular reason either. Howard was a huge problem for them last year and if you dont have at least 2 big guys in the middle against LA, you dont have a chance to beat them, Shaq has played really well against those bigger teams imo

Jason Kidd makes the all star team at 9.9ppg  Cavs really look better this year.........last year they would have lost tonights game :clap

99% of the celebrities in this game really suck........how about a travel call? :lol This is the best they could come up with though.......seriously?

:bangheadI also don't like the Jason Kidd pick.. He is more of a role player now, just a veteran point guard distributing the ball to great players (Nowitzki, Marion, J. Howard) and getting credit for it. He is but a shadow of his former self.

I think David Stern did that to further the interest of Dallas fans (Kidd fans in particular) to watch the All-Star Game.

I would have accepted Carlos Boozer (leading scorer & rebounder of the Western Conference's #3-ranked team):

Or even LaMarcus Aldridge (2nd-leading scorer & leading rebounder on the Western Conference's #8-ranked team):

I wish coaches can just vote for injury replacements. Whoever was next on the coaches' ballot should get the nod!!! :banghead

I don't understand why Kidd is on the team either. It should have been Westbrook or someone else.

And :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana

Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has acquired Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, James Singleton and Quinton Ross from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson

Caron Butler is an extremely underrated player, Mavs got a lot better with this one........Let the trades begin :monkey1

who cares whos on the all star team. it's all a popularity contest and nothing more.

You are a good player if you make a lot of All-Star teams, and is a measure of greatness if you have multiple (7 or more). :lecture:

Slam dunk contest was very boring.. Nobody should have won that event, Nate Robinson got a freebie trophy!!!!

Lamest dunk contest ever in NBA history!

Dunk contest has been lame for a long time.. I don't get into all star weekend..

yeah pretty much, but i always watch it in hope of something great happening, but nothing ever does. Nate may have won the most titles in that contest, but imo, hes not even in the top 5 of all time. Vince Carter is still at the top of my list.

As far as the all stars, the starting line up has always been a popularity contest, but i think its an honor for some of the guys to be chosen by the coaches, but when Stern gets involved, he doesnt always choose who deserves it. I still say, the players should have a bigger say in who makes it. Fans should maybe only choose 1 or 2 players. Without kobe in tonights game, East will prolly take it.
