They also got Sebastian Telfair and Big Z will most likely get bought out so the Cavs basicly got Jamison and Telfair for a draft pick and draft rights to a nobody :joy

I wouldnt be suprised to see big Z re join the Cavs if they can afford him. I have seen it happen before with Joe Smith.

thank god for Jamison. I was about ready to drown myself in alcohol and bong hits if phoenix got Hickson for Stat. (seeing that Phx would waive Z and have him resign with the cavs anyway)

the Cavs really get Jamison for almost free then dont they?

looks to be a done deal..........there arent nearly enough NBA fans on this board :emperor

Used to be a hard core Knicks fan, I still cheer for them, but theyve been so ____e for so long now, I dont follow Bball as much, I know general stuff but dont follow like I used to :(

Heres hoping they sign one of the big names this summer.

Dont think it will be Lebron for sure.......his team is loaded now :monkey1 Its still very possible Amare will go to Miami now, if that happens, prolly count out Wade too :horror

not really, didnt they throw in a 1st round pick? anyway, id rather wiz get hosed than my team.

I still think if Amare doesnt get traded, theres a good chance he will walk at the end of the year though...........he obviously thinks he can get more than the suns are offering, so if that happens, you guys end up with nothing either. If he walks, I hope Sac picks him up :joy

What did the Clippers get out of this?.. Idiots...

Drew Gooden and Travis Outlaw :dunno

I like the Cavs getting Jamison. He's a very solid player and has a great attitude which is great when you have Lebron and Shaq on the same team. Jamison will get in there and score, defend, rebound, and all the little things which is something the Cavs need to help them get over the top. Getting Amare would have been good but I wonder if there would have been enough basketball to go around. The better of the two things about Amare over Jamison is he's a bit younger.

As long as Big Z gets back to the Cavs I like this deal A LOT.

The 1st rd pick, unless the Cavs hold another pick from some other team, is going to be lower than 27th for sure as the Cavs will atleast be in the conference finals.

The late 1st rd picks are usually burdens because they are guaranteed contracts for somebody that is barely better than a non guaranteed 2nd rounder.

If the Cavs are without Big Z though this may change my opinion as he is necessary in case Shaq gets hurt or shows his age like he has in recent years.

kings don't have to worry about winning a playoff series anyways...:lol

edit. ESPN says he's going to knicks.

Kings didnt get much out of this, I really like Landry, but I would have liked the Kings to keep Mcgrady, cause Larry Hughes is a nobody and a waste of space. I will be pissed if the Kings dont pick up a good free agent in the offseason.

Cavs deal has risks. Of all the deals, their has the most immediate impact towards a championship.

Good: Z is able to return, win the championship and Lebron re-signs. Bad: Don't win the championship and Lebron bolts, then they are stuck trying to move Antwan salary next year.

Rockets / Kings / Knicks: Best trade providing everyone what they wanted.
Rockets: Martin (solid young piece), Hill and Hilton (potential) draft picks.
Kings: Landry (6th man of year nominee), Hughes (cap space).
Knicks: McGrady (cap space).

Chicago made a deal for cap space as well otherwise, IMO a ho-hum day.

I think in the end though, these teams (Knicks and Bulls) creating all this space, wont get any of the top top free agents. I think Johnson, Boozer and Bosh will be spread through out these teams, but what does that really get them? Into the 7th or 8th seed?
